12pcs Silicone Cake Mold Baking Round Cake Molds 4 Inch Non-Stick Baking Pan Kitchen Silicone Cake Molds for Baking (Blue, 4inch)

I have been on a baking kick, and these are fantastic for small 4 inch cakes! One batch of cake mix will fill about 6 of these mini cakes. I like to fill one 3/4th of the way, then once bake, I slice it in half and fill it with icing. I always put parchment in the bottom for easy removal, I haven’t tried it without that yet.

I use these for Italian sweets (mini panettone'') as well as egg bites large enough for regular English muffin breakfast 'sandwiches'. They are perfect size for microwave English muffin egg sandwich. (See pic) I toast the English muffin and cook the egg and cheese and fixings in the silicone cups. They also work for quite large cupcakes or muffins. I use jumbo parchment liners for those. Generally I do not need to use oil spray or paper liners for release. (The parchment liners used for muffin or cupcake ease of serving.

Really great baking cups. I use them mostly to bake burger buns and kaiser rolls. Always releases the bread, and should also release cakes just as easily. Clean well and can stack one inside another for storage (I have 24 of these and stack 4-6). 24 will fit on a full-size sheet pan, 12 on a half-sheet pan.

I will start out with I just threw these away since I am past my return window. I washed by hand for the first use because they had a weird floral smell. It did not help, the mini cakes tasted like the molds floral smell. I then sent them through the dishwasher, dried and put away. I used like 2 months later for mini bread loaves. They tasted like the floral smell of the molds again. I am not going to keep wasting my time and resources on these. If I had known the smell and taste would not go away, I never would have kept them. I have many other silicone baking molds and have never had this problem. I am guessing they were stored next to a perfume/cleaner/soap of some sort and that is the flavor they had. I would not recommend this to anyone to buy.

They function well and they work how I thought it was but there are more cons than pros. They were flexible and sturdy in the oven but it wasn’t non-stick. No big deal, but even with oil, it still took a long time to get the baked goods out. I used the molds to make cakes and for some reason the cakes came out uneven. The molds were so hard to clean and kept getting stained by cake mix.
