Is there anything new left to be said about classic American muscle cars? This book answers that question with a strong NO.Each chapter is a condensed version of a book written by the author of each chapter. Jim Wangers retells a portion of Glory Days, Joe Oldham rehashes American Horsepower, etc. There is even a chapter on current Mustangs and Camaros. Nothing you can't read in twenty different recent magazines.This is a coffee table book with large print, wide line spacing, and large pictures. It is the kind of book a car guy might get for Christmas from his new in-laws who heard he was into old muscle cars. It is a competent introduction and overview but useless for readers who have already read the books it is based on.

This was a birthday present for my husband, who is a definite car enthusiast, he said he really enjoyed the book and that it was well written and the author was well informed also, the book came with some great pictures.

A wonderful publication and the book have much information on the wonderful muscle car's glory year consisting of the '60s and early '70s.

We thought our grandson was into muscle cars of the early days. He's not. He wants the newer model type of muscle car so we returned this along with a few other muscle car stuff we bought. The product itself was great.

Pictures are amazing, great history of each of the great American Muscle Cars. I thoroughly enjoyed reading and liked it so much I bought a second one as a gift.
