Danish Design 2 in 1 Ultimate Purple/Red Removable Padding Lightweight Dog/Puppy Coat 16 Inch 40 cm

Purchased after struggling to find a coat that fit my Staffie in the shops. A lot of brands seem to only come in sizes to fit tiny dogs.This one comes in a large range of sizes every 5cm, and is very adjustable around the belly thanks to Velcro strap. It looks well made and the inside fleece is very cosy.The 55cm fits perfectly (dog is 24kg, 55cm back, 74cm ribs, 30cm neck).

Fabulous dog coat. Very well designed. I wish Danish Designs made coats for humans as my dog now has a far better coat than me :) Great quality fabrics.Easy to put on my dog. You just pop it over his head, bring the chest strap between his legs, and the wide velcro strap then does up quickly and easily over his back. The strap holds it securely in place. My active 32kg dog wears this in the garden and hasn't lost it yet! I took him from the tropics to Europe so this coat is working superbly to help him to adjust to his first cold winter as he loves to spend time outside.I generally don't like velcro on dog coats as it gets clogged with dog hair and sticks to everything around it, but in this case I'm happy with the way it is used for the strap. The velcro is a generous width, at 5cm wide, with a 1 to 2 cm border of normal fabric either side which helps stop it from sticking to other things in the vicinity! The velcro doesn't come into contact with the dog's hair.The extra bit of fleece / canvas at the back of the dogs neck gives added protection and warmth.The rear of the coat can go a bit sideways (slips to one side or another), but only to a very small degree, and this is the norm for dog jackets, I find. The designers have addressed this also as there are two loops of elastic at the rear lower corners, which seem to be meant for putting around the back legs. I haven't needed to use them yet.If you're out and about with your dog and he warms up and no longer needs the coat on, it is bulky to carry about. So you need a decent size bag with you or a way to tie it to your bag securely if you have to take it off him.Great piece of kit and I recommend it to others.

Lovely material and warm fleece. Unfortunately it was no good for my dog as there was no opening for her harness.

I recently purchased the Coat for my furry friend, but unfortunately, it was just too small for him.Now, I double-checked the measurements before ordering, so I was surprised to find that the coat was still too snug for my pup. While the quality of the coat seemed great and I loved the design, I was disappointed..If you're considering this coat for your dog or puppy, I would recommend going up a size just to be safe. Overall, it seems like a great product, but the sizing may not be accurate for all pets.

Second purchase, previous one lasted 8 years! Lightweight outer coat great for warmer days of rain. Protects in heavy rain. Our sprocker has never needed the padded inner but our other dog appreciates hers. Improved elastic on legs. Delighted again!

I assure you my English Cocker has no reason to be as gloomy as the weather in this super purple, splendid coat!Fits him perfectly (he's the smaller cocker, but would prob fit the slightly larger working dog too) and even my flatmate can get it on him in 30 seconds or less!The material feels durable, light and indeed, its waterproof. He comes home very toasty after his walks, so, I advise leaving the inner layer out until the weather is very cold, unless you have a pooch in extra need of insulation. In which case, you won't be dissapointed. The seams seem to be tough, even around the high wear areas. I use a stringy kind of harness on my boy and the loop fits through the leash hole, just in the right place. So, more thumbs up!As my dogs furr/fluff seems to have super powers, it grows back after a haircut in a matter of a month, so, having him trimmed extra short will no longer be a worry as he'll be kept very warm and dry with this coat.He would normally go for a black or grey ensemble, but, judging by the jealous glares from next doors Jack Russel, I think he must be the talk of the town...

Love this coat. My dog is very happy wearing it. It fits well and is easy to put on and off. Good quality and washed up well. I don’t use the back leg elastic as my dog doesn’t like it but the coat still stays on him nicely. Keeps him dry and warm. It’s great to be able to remove the inner fleece for warmer wet days. He gets lots of comments on how good the coat looks on him. Very happy with my purchase.
