Works wonderfully, assembly was a little confusing.The steps are listed on the store page and come printed in the box, take note that they look like1,2,36,5,4This threw me a bit. It also came with an extra M5/Tnut which I was confused on what step I missed. Otherwise, this seems like a well machined piece of equipment, and I believe it'll last a long time. The included iron heats up incredibly quickly and has temperature control that my other soldering irons don't - helps to create as little smoke as possible. It's super easy to get straight presses now, in a consistent manner. I was able to press several in a row without tons of re-heat time in between. It's light, but also has some weight which makes pressing a breeze.It comes with the tools you need to assemble as well, so it's a full kit. The best part is that it also includes the heat insert tips! If I had realized, I could've saved some money on a different set I bought. However, the tips I bought fit this iron as well, so I'm not out anything.Finally, it came with a plastic cap piece that's not in the instructions; it goes on top of the vertical tower to cover the exposed aluminum and give it a finished look.Great price, great tool. Would definitely recommend and would buy again if needed.

The press went together in under ten minutes. The directions were clear and straight forward especially if you’ve worked with these aluminum extrusions (eg assembled a 3D printer like an Ender 3). The bottom stop is a great feature to set the depth before heating so you don’t need to guess and can quickly set the threaded insert and not risk deforming the 3D print.Addressing a couple of the issues I’ve seen in the negative reviews:- It shouldn’t take anyone more than a few seconds to determine what temp to set the soldering iron to. The extrusion temps for various materials and filaments are printed right on the box. Just set it somewhere in the middle.- the slide assembly is identical to every 3D printer on the market. Mine came perfectly adjusted to the extrusion with no play at all. The kit comes with a wrench to adjust the one wheel and set the tension to your liking.- I don’t know if the older versions weren’t balanced properly but I have tried several times to get this press to tip by just pressing down on the handle but it won’t. If you’re holding a part steady, I don’t see how that would be possible with additional weight on the base.- the soldering iron has some adjustment in the plastic mount and the the T nuts, so once everything is assembled, you can level it perfectly with the base to avoid crooked inserts.Most 3D printer owners who have a need for this press will already understand the basic assembly and leveling of this device from their experience with 3D printing.Hope this helps.

Simple and effective. Easy to put together. I did use a video on YouTube just to be sure. It heats up well and does the job. The price is within my budget.

Works better than expected. Much easier on the hands.

The unit is pretty good as-shipped. It was easy to assemble, is easy to operate, and is a good value for the price. It’s a very simple design that works well.Since this is marketed for the 3D-printing hobbyist crowd, I recommend some minor upgrades:(1) It needs a tool tip holder so that the tips do not get lost. I recommend you design and print one - there are a couple different styles in the comments already.(2) I engraved an aluminum business card with the product name, QR link to Amazon page, tool instructions, and recommended settings. I mounted that card to the frame with more 3D-printed mounts.These minor upgrades ensure I’ll have all the information and parts anytime I reach for this unit.

Hoping to increase stars once I start using it, however, I was missing a t-nut for the lower stop and the instructions were not completely clear. Like the construction, finish and the smoothness of the lift arm.

The specific one, the tall version of very study and doesn't wobble. It works very well. Time will tell though for its durability of course
