HOGARLABS 2000 Sq Ft 30 Pint Dehumidifier for Home Basements Bathroom Bedroom, Intelligent Humidity Control Dehumidifier with Drain Hose for Medium to Large Room, Laundry Dry

It seems that dehumidifiers do not last very long. My last one lasted 4 years. I replaced my last one with this unit after reviewing all that was available in my size on Amazon. The unit is very quiet and is working well. It is small but seems to be doing the job. The warranty seems good with up to two years for replacement if it fails. I drain my dehumidifier into a pipe that I connected to the drain system which is in the crawlspace. The unit comes with its own hose for this purpose. However, there is not a way to directly connect a garden hose on it that the previous one had. That would have been better.

Plugged it in, turned it on, works great! Very quiet and compact. I use it for a 360 square foot detached office with no ceiling, and it's been holding the humidity steady in the continuous mode. For a normal size house I think you would need at least a couple of the units to handle it. I'm just draining into a bucket, so I empty the bucket maybe every other day. And I like the fact that it discharges straight up. So far so good.

Great dehumidifier. Simple, straightforward and works like a champ. I run one all summer in my basement to keep the humidity levels tolerable and this unit works great. Quiet, does a good job and I like the display on the front, as you can see the humidity level at a glance when walking by.

- I wonder if they mean cubic feet instead of square feet. It works well for the bathroom closet where I have placed it. - I love how small and compact it is. - It blinks when it reaches desired humidity level. Not helpful because it is in a living area and has the hose plugged in. I don’t need to know when to empty it because I don’t need to empty it. - If it needs to stay upright for 24 hours before plugging it in, that would be a nice thing to put on a sticker on the product. Thabks.

I THINK IT'S VERY OBVIOUS THAT I AM EXTREMELY DISSATISFIED WITH MY PURCHASE OF A HOGARLABS 2000 SQ FT-30 PINT DEHUMIDIFIER. I PURCHASED MY UNIT, BRAND NEW AND SEALED IN THE BOX FROM AMAZON. I READ THE USER MANUAL, AT LENGTH FIRST. I LET THE DEHUMIDIFIER SIT UPRIGHT FOR ALMOST 48 HOURS, AFTER TAKING IT OUT OF THE PACKAGING UPON RECEIPT. THIS WAS EXACTLY THE SAME LENGTH OF TIME, BEFORE IT WAS EVER PLUGGED INTO AN ELECTRICAL OUTLET. AT FIRST, UPON TURNING THE UNIT ON, IT'S FUNCTION WAS AS EXPECTED. IT WORKED OKAY. I SAY "JUST OKAY".. I LIVE IN A 700 SQ FT, DOWNSTAIRS, SINGLE- LEVEL APARTMENT WHICH IS ONLY TWO YEARS OLD AND QUITE EXPENSIVE. IT HAS VERY EFFECTIVE, HEATING AND COOLING SYSTEM. THE HOGARLABS 30 PINT DEHUMIDIFIER STARTED TO WORK VERY POORLY ABOUT FIVE WEEKS AFTER I RECEIVED IT. MEANING, THAT IT WOULD NOT FUNCTION PROPERLY, AFTER BARELY A MONTH'S TIME FROM DATE OF PURCHASE. IT WOULD NOT MAINTAIN A HUMIDITY LEVEL OF LESS THAN 65%-70%. EVEN THOUGH THE DEHUMIDIFIER SETTINGS WERE SET TO A CONSTANT 40% DEHUMIDIFY LEVEL. THIS SETTING WAS EVEN LOCKED, ON THE CONTROL PANEL OF THE UNIT. THE UNIT'S 30 QUART WATER RESERVOIR WAS FULL AND MANUALLY EMPTIED, ON AVERAGE, THREE TO FOUR TIMES A DAY, WHEN THE UNIT WAS NEW AND TAKEN OUT OF THE BOX. AFTER THIRTY DAYS OF USE. THE RESERVOIR WAS RARELY FULL, AND THE HUMIDITY LEVEL OUTPUT OF THE DEHUMIDIFIER AVERAGED CLOSER TO 70% CONSTANT. AT THIS POINT, I TURNED THE UNIT OFF AND UNPLUGGED IT FROM THE WALL OUTLET. ( I HAVE MULTIPLE HUMIDITY GAUGES THROUGHOUT THE APARTMENT.). I CONTACTED AMAZON'S CUSTOMER SERVICE DEPARTMENT AND AMAZON'S ONLY GUIDANCE WAS TO EMAIL HOGARLABS FOR SUPPORT. APPARENTLY, THERE IS NO UNITED STATES ENTITY FOR REPAIR OF THIS PRODUCT. WHEN YOU LOOK CLOSER AT THE VERY MINIMAL INFORMATION AVAILABLE ON HOGAR LABS, THE ONLY CONSTANT INFORMATION IS THAT THEY ARE BASED IN CHINA. THEY HAVE A SINGLE PAGE ON FACEBOOK WITH A COMPANY PHONE NUMBER AND SUPPORT EMAIL ADDRESS. THE SAME INFORMATION THAT AMAZON PROVIDED TO ME, BARELY A MONTH AFTER PURCHASE. TO DATE, AFTER MULTIPLE EMAILS TO HOGARLAB'S SUPPORT EMAIL ADDRESS AND EVEN TRYING TO CALL THEM INTERNATIONALLY. I HAVE NEVER RECEIVED ANY KIND OF RESPONSE, TO EITHER EMAIL OR PHONE CONTACTS TO HOGARLABS. ANY CONTACT TO AMAZON CSR GROUP IS USELESS. THE MOST COMEDIC GUIDANCE I RECEIVED FROM THEIR DEPARTMENT WAS "ANY SUPPORT OR REPAIR OF THIS PRODUCT, AFTER THIRTY DAYS IS AT YOUR EXPENSE", A COUPLE OF AMAZON'S CSR REPRESENTATIVES EVEN WENT SO FAR AS TO SUGGEST BY EMAIL, THAT "I REPACKAGE THE DEHUMIDIFIER AS RECEIVED AND SHIP IT AT MY EXPENSE, TO A HOGARLABS COMPANY ADDRESS IN CHINA". i GUESS THEY PRESUMED THAT I WOULD DUMB ENOUGH TO SEND THE DEHUMIDIFIER BACK TO CHINA WITHOUT ANY ADVANCE APPROVAL OR COMMUNICATIONS BACK FROM HOGARLABS, BY THE WAY, THE COST TO SHIP, A NEARLY THIRTY POUND PACKAGE TO CHINA, VIA UPS OR FEDEX OR ANY INTERNATIONAL CARRIER IS HUNDREDS OF DOLLARS. PROBABLY, MORE THAN TWICE AS MUCH, AS THE DEHUMIDIFIER COST ORIGINALLY, THROUGH AMAZON. IF ONE INSPECTS THE PACKAGING ON THE DEHUMIDIFIER, YOU'LL DISCOVER THAT IT WAS SHIPPED FROM CHINA TO PRESUMABLY, A DISTRIBUTION COMPANY IN STOCKTON, CALIFORNIA. WHO THEY ARE OR THEIR RELATIVITY TO AMAZON IS UNKNOWN. EVEN IF ONE WAS FLUENT IN READING AND WRITING IN CHINESE, IT PROBABLY WOULD NOT BE OF ANY BENEFIT IN THIS SITUATION. MY ADVICE TO ANY CONSUMER IS AS FOLLOWS: "DO NOT BUY THIS DEHUMIDIFIER, UNLESS YOU ENJOY ZERO SERVICE OPTIONS, ANY KIND OF SUPPORT FROM THE RETAILER, OR HAVE ANY KIND OF NEED FOR TECHNICAL GUIDANCE. DO NOT EXPECT THE RETAILER TO SUPPORT, EITHER YOU OR THE PRODUCT, IN ANY KIND OF WAY." " BASICALLY, YOU'RE PURCHASING A 28 LB PAPERWEIGHT! "

My electric bill went from $99 to $145 and now $175. The only change was adding the dehumidifier. I thought it would decrease my electricity usage so the air conditioner would not have to run so hard. Not a good investment for me. Update: Hogarlabs contacted me and refunded my money. They are a great company to work with. Their product worked well and was very quiet, just too expensive for me to operate. I am considering purchasing the energy star rated one.

This item broke, it is still under warranty . I contacted the manufacturer X3 and did not receive a reply. I called Amazon and they referred me to MAX.US.ME the distributor. to call The phone number does not work . Still awaiting a reply from either the manufacturer or the distributor . The item worked initially but now it does not remove the humidity from the area.

I put this small, skinny dehumidifier in the basement bedroom and it just chugs away. The bedroom has had a humidity problem and the tank on this is small, so we were emptying the tank 2x a day. Finally I attached the drain hose and fed it into the corner sump pump.

I absolutely LOVE this dehumidifier!!! I used to have a digital Honeywell brand which worked fabulous but sold it before realizing I’d still need it in my new residence (Studio w/den apt). However, that gave me clarity on what I loved & wanted in a portable dehumidifier. I had a great feeling moving forward with this Hogarlabs brand unit & am so pleased that it was a white colour-yay! The wheels are so convenient for moving around yet it is light enough to pick up & easy to do with the built in hand holds✅. It’s a smart unit & a no-brainer to run & set and has the added support of having a continuous drain with hose supplied with it as well!!! I kept the foam insert that it was packaged in for delivery for the bottom/wheels so that when I go on vacation I can set it safely on the counter and let it drain in the sink if I want. The digital setting controls are perfect for my needs🌈 This is truly a reliable, supportive addition to my ‘castle’. I’ve been using it consistently for weeks now & it runs beautifully & the noise level is equal to a small fan & when off to the side of where you are you it’s a comfortable hum. I needed it to maintain ideal humidity levels for my beloved reptiles-dumerils. In the summer my place gets super humid yet I have to keep my a/c cooling setting always on despite that is has a dehumidifying option cause it gets super hot & uncomfortable for me when I switch it so this Hogarlabs dehumidifier is the bomb!! I’m comfortable & my dumerils are comfortable & breathing easy☔️🎉 To boot there are no replaceable filters to buy cause everything is washable & reuseable. This is exactly what I wanted & know suits my needs & satisfaction— Thank you Hogarlabs for such a beautiful & efficient appliance and a true compliment to my home & wellbeing & that of my animal family members-lol🏡 ⚡️💖

I bought this dehumidifier primarily to deal with condensation on the inside of my single pane windows. It clears two fully steamed up windows in half an hour and does an amazing job of dealing with shower steam in my bathroom with the broken fan. The bathroom mirror doesn't even fog up if I run the dehumidifier in the bathroom while the shower is running. The clothes drying function is very effective as well. I'm giving it 4 stars because it isn't strong enough to keep my space at 35-40% humidity, but it works perfectly for taking it down from about 65% to closer to 45%. It's also surprisingly quiet.

This is a fast working Dehumidifier, standard entry level programmable model. What I've learned since buying this unit is that almost all programmable dehumidifiers come with one of two humidity sensors/controllers, and most of the models on Amazon have the cheaper version. This one has the cheaper version, which can be set in increments of 5%RH and is not suitable (imo) for controlling RH in smaller spaces like a grow tent. Because of this I'm docking a star. While this unit will mop up the humidity really fast, the ability to set RH% is more of a Gimmick that doesn't serve its function very well. This unit best serves the purpose of being set to 30% on high fan speed in a basement with the drain hose attached. The better dehumidifier units will have an interface that allows you to set RH% in 1% increments, and are a lot more precise for the purposes of keeping RH inside a small RH% window--like with a grow tent when trying to dial in VPD to keep plants healthy.

I bought this dehumidifier for my basement and hooked up a hose for automatic drainage. This has worked very well. The unit is much smaller than my previous dehumidifier, it does the job very and is also super quiet.

Purchased in May 2025. Now September 2025 (4 months) unit stopped working. Emails to company were responded to immediately. The warranty did apply to our units failure. All in all, we cannot complain.
