We bought this for our backyard, I was a bit skeptical at first as some reviews mentioned some issues but it turned out to pleasantly surprise with how well this is designed and built.It took me almost a full day to assemble with 1 person helping me. The only tedious part of assembly was getting the many, many slats snapped in place but the majority of the mechanism for the slats came pre-assembled. Overall it came packaged very well and there were no scuffs or scratches on it anywhere even though a few of the boxes had some dents on the outside from Fedex being so "gentle" with them.When placing the hooks for the mesh screen and solid curtains into the tracks make sure to count it out correctly but it does come with a few spares so I ended up with 1-2 extra hooks in some of the tracks but they do not affect anything and aren't even visible.We have now had it for over a month and it has rained many times and this is actually much more waterproof than I expected. During moderate to light rain it is completely dry under it when the slats are in closed position. in a heavy thunderstorm, some droplets will bounce off the center crossbeam and into the covered area so if you need it to be completely waterproof you can do what I did and add a piece of linear plastic that covers that 0.5" gap.The entire structure is aluminum and all hardware is stainless steel so will never corrode or rust. The steel plates that brace the corners are well painted and will also not rust.I feel confident that this will last at least 10+ years if maintained well and debris such as fallen leaves cleaned off the slats regularly.It comes with concrete anchors that are rather short and I didn't install because to me this seems heavy and sturdy enough that wind will not move it.

The quality of the material is awesome and easy to install

So I didn't install it. I hired someone and sadly I believe they may have not done a very good job.There's cracks where the beans connect and when it rains the water pours through. I think that's what the glue was for.I wish you were able to somehow close the drains when it's raining cause the floor middle center gets super wet, since water is coming down.You do get shelter from the rain. I bought some water tape in order to minimize water leakage in the center. It worked well. The curtains are nice material, you get very good protection with the wind, wind doesn't pick up much but there's been 30 mph winds and it holds up just fine.The opening and closing mechanism works very well. Haven't had issues and it's been up for about 4 months.

I don’t do review, never find the time. I had to with this one. I bought this kit and had it assembled. Almost finished we discovered that there were parts that would need to be treaded as the part came without. I contacted this company and quickly they responded and solved the problem. I now have 2. I have the 12x25 and 10x12 I love them at night we use the curtains to cut the breeze if it’s windy and it keeps of nice a shady in the hot sun. It took 3 men 4 hours to assemble each you don’t need much skill as the instructions are clear and parts are easy to identify. I love mine hope this is helpful.

Updated review: After purchasing and installing this pergola I'm satisfied with it. However, I decided to order an extra set of curtains and netting. Amazon doesn't carry the replacement parts, so they put me in touch with the manufacturer. It was easy enough to order them from the manufacturer and the cost was reasonable $180. So, I paid with the link they sent me, and they sent me a tracking number. A few weeks later I check the FedEx tracking number and it says delivered. I didn't receive the package and the address it delivered to was in Nevada. I live in Tennessee. I try to file a claim with FedEx, but they won't deal with me because the address on the package doesn't match my address. Therefore, I go back to the manufacturer and tell them they shipped to the wrong address. I've emailed them four times over the last week, and they haven't responded. So, I'm out $180. When I was deciding between two pergolas it was between this company and another manufacturer. I guess I chose wrong. Don't make the same mistake.  It is labor intensive to put together. It took me and my wife about 11 total hours over the course of three days. We did use an adjustable ladder to set the beams on when building the frame.Likes: It looks good on our deck and does it’s primary purpose of blocking the hot Tennessee sun. Does block out moderate rain but expect to get wet with a downpour.Dislikes: a couple of the beams have dents in them even though the packaging was intact. Leads me to believe that that’s the way they were when they packaged them. Luckily with the curtains up it’s not very noticeable. The instructions are horrible and incorrect in a few places. It has you adding too many Currant hangers in steps 2 and 3 so when you get to 4 there’s not enough and so you end up having too many on the long sides and not enough on the short sides. Also step 17 has you adding 8 S’s and shows the 8th one going on the corner post. It actually goes on the back side of the center crossbeam where there’s a gutter on each side.

We love our new pergola! Great quality products. Definitely waterproof. Yet love the option to open the louvered roof when wanting sunlight to come through. Great deal that it also includes all the curtains and screens. Beautiful 😌

No missing or damaged pieces. Easy to follow assembly instructions. All hardware appears to be Stainless Steel so no worries about rust. Everything fit together perfectly. Well engineered and very sturdy after installation. Very happy with our purchase. Would recommend Erommy Pergola if you are looking for a quality product.
