Illuminate Your Space, Effortlessly! 💡
The Motion Sensor Indoor Lighting PIR Occupancy Sensor Switch is designed for modern living, offering a seamless blend of convenience and energy efficiency. With an operating voltage of 180VAC-250V and a load capacity of up to 200W, this sensor switch is perfect for various indoor spaces like store rooms and utility areas. Its adjustable delay time ensures that lights stay on as long as movement is detected, while its minimal wiring requirements make installation a breeze.

Very good BUT ALSO very bad!!
Well, this is a strange review. 3 stars because I cant decide between 1 and 5! Lets start with the positive; the switch does exactly what I want it to do. Its in a larder in the middle of the house with no natural light. As soon as I enter, the PIR switches on the 3 x 7w LED spotlights, and they remain on while I am in there. After leaving, the PIR shuts off the LEDs in just under 30 seconds. It fitted neatly into the existing metal switch box, using just the 2 existing wires (live and load).Everything that I wanted, so it should be 5 stars, right? But it should also be 1 star because 2 of the key components within the PIR are missing !! There is a space on the printed circuit board where the timing adjust potentiometer should be, and a space where the light level potentiometer should be. There is no doubt about this - the label on the back of the PIR shows the position of the missing controls, and the spaces on the board are labled WT and WL (presumably for Time and Light). Fortunately the default light level and delay/on time works just fine for me, so I have installed it and wont be returning it. But if you wanted to adjust these parameters, this PIR would be useless.Another negative point is the terminals. They are VERY close to touching the metal lug on the wall box. I put insulating tape across the top of the screws before installing, just to be on the safe side. Obviously once installed safely there is no danger of shorting, but its something potential buyers should be aware of.The instructions are badly translated and often dont make a lot of sense. Its sort of good that they have included a resistor to use if the load is very low; but unless you have electrical training (I have), then there is no way you would be able to fit it. In fact, it could be very dangerous if someone attempted this without fully understanding how it would work. Fortunately I didnt need it for my setup.Delivery time was long, since it was shipping from China, but I knew that and cant count that as negative.Would I buy again? Possibly, because it took me a while to find a PIR that operates on 2 wires, so if this item continues to work for me I might consider it. But I would not be confident that another PIR would have the same default time delay and since the delay time is not adjustable, it might not be suitable... unless it was actually made properly!

Good value for money; works with LED
I bought five of these to replace a more expensive PIR switch (sold on here for £30) as my previous switch needed a load of 15W or more, causing erratic behaviour with 12W LED lights (buzzing, dim flashing etc). I read a lot of the reviews with mixed feedback on whether this works with a 2-way system or LED lights.I've fitted these switches into 3 x 2-way systems (ie lights operated by two switches) operating a 12W LED light. They do work, however, I would like to point out the following.-they are slightly less sensitive than better switches, you have to go within half the sensor range to activate it.-they can be troublesome: all my set ups initially had the lights coming on, going off and then coming on again after a few seconds without activation. I just left them for a few hours and they started working fine. I have no idea what the issue was but honestly after a while they work fine.-they do work with 2-way systems but seem to work better where one of the two switches is a normal or manual switch. Eg, one of my 2-way systems has a flick switch and this PIR on that system worked fine immediately; though it worked on the 2-ways where both switches were these PIRs as well, after a while. There is a major design flaw in this. The connectors are at the bottom with the fixing screws (which hold in place the live and load cables) protruding out. If you have a metal switch box, you must be sure that the screws do not make contact with the case when you screw it in. They are literally a millimetre away and one of mine made contact and blew when I turned the power on. This is not a normal design for light switches which never have the screws protruding to make contact with the case at any point (they are recessed into the switch usually). The one that made contact, I used thermal tape and re-fitted it.I recommend this as a simple and basic switch, which has a high quality dome (unlike my £30 which used soft plastic and stupid people pushed them in thinking they were flick switched). These domes can't be pushed in; that is very good. Finally, they come with a resistor in case your LED load is less than 5W. If so, you must use the resistor to reduce the voltage to the LED.

Probably good, certainly cheap
Firstly, the documentation is a bit poor, it requires some interpolation or intuity to work out what it's on about. But, essentially, the unit is cheap and it seems to work. So that's good. The first problem is that its settings are controlled by some small screws internal to the unit, which can not be accessed when it's fully installed. So in order to get it working in a way to suit your needs, you're probably going to have to adjust the settings, so you're going to have to leave the unit dangling out of the socket for a while.I found that when the sensitivity, through the middle "Range" setting, was set too high that the switch would repeatedly turn the light it controlled back on again in a completely empty and dark room. However now that I'd adjusted this down, it seems to be doing what I want.Which is to turn on the light in a windowless garage when I go into it, and to keep the lights on for a few minutes afterwards.I'll still be leaving the unit danging for a few days before attaching it properly.Oh yes, and don't miss the fact that it has a front plate which can be prised off to give access to the holes through which the securing screws can attach the unit to an existing base unit.

Looks the part
Very poor and inadequate instructions to fit

Great product, easy install with no neutral required
Great product, easy install with no neutral required, would be nice to have an external override switch so you don't have to remove off wall to adjust timer, but I guess you pay for what you get.

No issues one small design flaw.
Easy to install as usual with it being a light switch. Looks decent. The screws were slightly to big for the holes but the old screw worked with this switch. One design flaw and that is the sensor adjuster. I had to remove the board from the casing to adjust it.
