We never drink our local tap water, and have both a reverse osmosis system and a gravity filtration system for drinking/cooking water. Our water is supplied by the city and I can sometimes smell chlorine. I’ve always wanted to have our tap water tested, just to see what’s in it. This kit was great for doing that. The testing strips are sealed in aluminum packs, so they stay dry. The instructions are easy to follow and the test process is quick to perform. You have your answer in about 30 seconds. I tested our water on two separate days and the findings were the same. I found our water isn’t too terribly bad, with the exception of the nitrate level which is a little high. To satisfy my curiosity, I also tested the R.O. water, as well as the gravity filtered water. It was interesting to see the results of each of them. One thing the testing confirmed is that our water is VERY hard. I also found it interesting how much more alkaline the gravity filtered water is. I think this test kit will be great to have and periodically check our water….as well as the water of other family members. I obviously can’t verify the accuracy of the results obtained by this testing kit, but I trust the company is trustworthy and in their product does what it claims to do. I am pleased with the kit and do recommend it for peace of mind.

Easy to Use and Read.

Unfortunately, I didn't take any pictures of this test in the works but it works well. Nice that extra strips are included for more regular testing.

I tested the water using a water sample sent to a lab and compared results with these strips. The strips looked identical regardless of which water sample I tested even though the water samples were vastly different based on lab analysis. These strips always turned the same color.

We bought this kit to test our well water. It showed the same outcomes as another brand that we had previously purchased in a store, so I'd say they are accurate and easy to use. It's also nice to have plenty of extras for future testing.

I ran tests against many water sources: my city tap, 2 whole house filter systems, Costco bottled water, water from 1 restaurant.They all show nitrate level that matches the color chart around the 25-50ppm, which is REALLY high, 10 is the highest allowance for drinking water. So I went to get a water testing kit from Home Depot, and since the kit is expensive I only test it on my whole house filter system, and it shows 10 ppm, which is matching with my city tap water report.This test kit does not seem to show accurate Nitrate level.
