Good controller for handheld play.
Got this for a decent price during Prime Day. A few different Switch controllers caught my eye, and in the end I settled on this one.I like that most of the buttons are layed out the same as on standard controllers. It meant I didn't have to relearn much muscle memory. The home, capture, +, and - buttons took a tiny bit of getting used to, but it wasn't too bad.Controller holds the Switch firmly. I inserted it into the controller, held it above a soft surface, turned it upside down, and shook it. It didn't fall out!The controller itself feels well constructed. I'm not worried it is going to fall apart on me. Good plastic quality.Rumble works well. Controls all feel properly responsive. Turbo function is nice... I can hit my rocks in Animal Crossing with no misses, haha!It is a bit heavy holding it with the Switch installed. Doesn't bother me too much personally, but your milage may vary.Only real nitpick I have is a minor one and is one shared by the Switch itself... It's great that you can charge the Switch while it's plugged into this controller, but I wish the charging port wasn't on the bottom and sticking straight down. Makes it awkward if you want to play while charging, and are sitting or laying down in a position where you might have the system resting on your chest or belly. Hard to do with the cord poking you! Again, this IS also a problem with an out-of-the-box Switch, and is far from the end of the world. But it could have been nice if this controller had reoriented the charging port...That one EXTREMELY minor nitpick aside, I am very happy with this purchase and would recommend this controller highly at current or cheaper pricing. (I got it for around $32, it currently seems to be about $40.)

Not the best for smaller hands/short fingers, but works great!
I have what my husband calls "tiny baby hands" (ok they're not THAT small, but they're on the small end for an adult), so holding this can be a bit unwieldy. I've been using it to play Zelda TOTK and it's fine for doing most things, but I don't do boss fights with it because it's hard for me to comfortably touch the ZR and R buttons while also using the right joystick. So, not the device's fault really, although I would love it if companies made like large and small versions of these kinds of things. Overall, great little travel device for playing games that don't require lots of ZL/ZR and L/R button pressing, if you have smaller hands.

Good but not good enough for $40
I like the item, it feels comfortable and so far pretty responsive. Makes playing in handheld a lot better then with the joy cons. But, the normal price is $40 and the game pad does not appear to have Hall effect joy sticks. I have another from retro flag that cost me $50 that have the Hall effect sticks, the one issue with that one is it has little metal clips that scratch the sides of my OLED’s, hence this purchase. So for just $10 less that is a big downgrade without the Hall effect sensors, as this pad will inevitably develop stick drift and will need to be replaced. So if you have a gift card laying around or if you have some credit card cash back and can get this pad for $20, like I did go for it. If you are buying full price look to some of the other options that include the Hall effect sensors.

Only OK
D pad buttons require a moderate amount of force to register, should be more sensitive. The ABXY buttons are fine but really hard to see what each one is, probably not an issue if you know the buttons through muscle memory.

Great product that you didn't know you needed
ordered this specifically to play Zelda, and it ended up being a great purchase. Expected it to feel cheap and clunky, but I was pleasantly surprised that that wasn't the case. The analog sticks work GREAT and overall, it holds battery life pretty long as well. Gyro aiming still works just as well, and I like how the triggers feel too. Only complaint is that whenever my switch heats up, the cooling sound is REALLY loud. But have only experienced it once or twice. If you're worried about how awkward it might feel to hold and use, you will be glad to hear that I did not have this issue at all (and I use my switch quite a bit). Would definitely recommend!

I Love It
Makes handheld gameplay much easier on the wrists. The buttons and joysticks feel nice. It works as a wired remote and lets you charge it while you use it. My favorite thing about it of all though is probably the shock pads. They make the gameplay more fun for sure.

Really like it!
I really like this Switch grip/controller. Feels good in my man hands. Hands don't get tired or cramped using it. Feels pretty well made. Solid. Buttons are nice and "clicky" with some resistance. Not squishy like some cheap controllers. Analog sticks feel good. I like the turbo feature for shooters. Holds the screen/console well. No input lag as I can tell since it's basically a wired controller.

Finally a solid handheld option
I received my order a day early than expected and I am very pleased with the product. I haven’t tried the turbo or auto options but I haven’t had the need. I was tired of the way shooters felt in hand held mode with the joycons and this finally fixed that. I’ve also tried this in fighting games like super smash and it works great! I can finally play online in handheld mode without having the disadvantage of playing with the joycons.
