Review: Best Zombie board game! - I play this a lot with my board game loving friends and we always have a blast. The models are great, the game is fairly well balanced and there's a lot of scenarios to play through. One of the best things is that the zombies play themselves so you don't need to make one of your group responsible for ruining everyone's night :D! You can buy the Toxic City Mall expansion when you get bored (which won't be for ages!) and there's also plenty of mini packs like 'Zombie Dogs' or 'Companion Dogs' that can be bought and added to the base game. I'd recommend this over the first Zombicide game because it features a special type of Beserk zombies that can only be killed using melee weapons. As you can imagine this adds a whole different dynamic to the game where you have to ensure your survivors are packing one of each weapon type to survive. I appreciate that it costs quite a lot but you really do get a lot of enjoyment out of it, and even if you play through the same scenario a few times, you'll find that every time is completely different. Pick it up today and you won't regret it :D!

I also invested in the zombicide paints and have really enjoyed learning to paint and bringing the models to life. The game is pretty easy to grasp and is a perfect game to introduce non gamers to as it's completely team orientated. I was a non gamer before this and I've since bought several other sets to add to it. Buy it!

## Questions & Answers

**Q: Should I get Season 1 first or can I just dive into this game?**
A: Well that depends on what type of gamer you are. You could buy just Season 2, which does have some differences in play, characters, and the overall scenario options, along with the opposition (zombie hoards) I personally started with season 1 and added the expansions and extra characters afterwards. For my friends and I, it was an easier transition from the first games to this one, since their are some additions to rules and character abilities. If you start with Season 2 and decide to buy the earlier versions you might feel the earlier versions are under developed and too simple of a design. (Keep in mind by simple I mean Season 2 is a separate later release of Zombicide, where Season 1 is the beginning and certain features are not introduced until the layer versions.) So if you are a collector of any kind and would like to play all 3 versions in Linear order, start with Season 1. If you want just a stand alone version that is updated and can be played independantly go with Season 2. (One thing I will say once you have gotten familiar with the mechanics of these versions 1 or 2 you can begin to add or subtract parts from each version to create your own scenario.) My friends and I have gotten to the point of combining multiple scenarios and map elements to create one very large scenario/map. Once you play hopefully Zombicide will sink it's teeth into you, Enjoy

**Q: Do you have to own the original Zomicide game to play this? Or is this a stand alone version that I can purchase and play without anything else?**
A: Zombicide Season 2: Prison Outbreak is a fully independent product.  You do not need any other components to play this game.  If given the choice, I would recommend starting with Season 1, however.

**Q: If there are 90 figurines and 78 are zombies and it looks like 6 are survivors what are the other 6?**
A: There are only 6 survivor names/cards, but they can each die and then come back as a zombie survivor that has its own separate mini (and the stats are printed on the back of the card). So yes, only 6 survivors, but there are 12 survivor minis.

**Q: Can you play with more than 6 players?**
A: You can play with more than 6 players (assuming you have an expansion with extra survivors). The game is optimized for 6 players (i.e. it does not scale with # of survivors; so the game is harder with 4 players and easier with 8).

This game is great, a big investment perhaps for some but it comes with loads of miniatures and we are still playing through the missions in the book months later. I also invested in the zombicide paints and have really enjoyed learning to paint and bringing the models to life. Amazing game, I would definitely advise playing the first zombicide game before you get into the craziness of this one, for starters there are a lot of rules in the original game never mind all the extra ones for this, plus this one is a bit more manic, that's not saying the first instalment isn't crazy and fun, but if you have played the first game this is a must, well worth the money.
