Where has this been all my life?
It is like "brazing rod" for asphalt. I've used a lot of crack sealers in my lifetime. Nothing came close to this. Once it cools it turns into a durable and hard plastic that is never going away. I had a 1/8-1/4" crack going across the driveway perhaps 20 feet long. I still have plenty left over for future issues. My method: Preheat the area ahead of where you are working, Then start "brazing" it in. Fill about 8-6 inches along the crack. It will shrink into the crack as it cools - so go back over it again to re-apply to get it level. Also high spots and the edges can be blended in by judicious application of the torch. I actually think it is better to apply this when it is cool out, since the asphalt contracts in the winter and the gap in the crack opens up. I did this in November when it was about 45 degrees out. Wonderful stuff.

Product flows in cracks, but doesn't go far
Product melts into cracks and is flexible and seems to be the same material as bulk hot crack fill products used in commercial applications. Definitely fill larger cracks with sand prior to melting this into them or it just melts into the crack. Coverage from one package is limited and you will likely have to double up for any but the smallest cracks. Note you get about 1.5 lbs of product in a package so it's only appropriate for small repairs. You can purchase 50lbs of hot crack filler for about $50, cut into blocks with a sawzall and melt in a large stock pot over a propane camp stove. This is not manufacturer recommended and a bit dangerous, but with appropriate safety precautions/equipment and common sense it's possible and very effective. Due to poor value for your money compared to the bulk product used commercial I'm removing a star.

Great Company, Great Customer Service and Great Customer Service
Great Company. Fantastic Customer Service. With lots of cracks deep and shallow, in my driveway. I need something to fill them. This product worked great. Use a blow torch to melt the productand it fills the crack so there are NO seams for water to leak in.I will be using this product every year.

I swear by this product
I swear by this product! Last time I used it was 5 years ago. I live in CT & it held up way beyond my expectations. This year I'm filling in new cracks. I DON'T follow the recommended directions. I feel my process is far superior that works much better, even on the finest cracks. First of all don't waste your time with a hand bottle torch. You will be there forever! I use a big 35,000 BTU torch handle that attaches to my 20 lb LP tank. Have the torch in one hand & a coil of this in the other. Run the torch over the crack small section at a time. Then heat the 'rope" filler & it will start to melt & drip into the crack. Just drag the melting filler along the crack filling it as you go along. You will get a technique that works for you.

Works!
The only product I’ve used and have been happy with to repair crakes in asphalt. Basically heat it up with mapp gas and let it drip into the crack. Do this right at the crack so the asphalt get real hot as well.

Be patient while using the heating point for adhesive point.
It does fill/seals the cracks much better than liquid crack fillers in buckets and a lot less messy once you get the hang of how it gets to the melting point with your heating source. Best heating source is a propane torch-period.
