DMI Step Stool with Handle for Adults and Seniors Made of Heavy Duty Metal, Holds up to 300 Pounds with 9.5 Inch Step Up

I bought two. One came with excessive amounts of tape and the screws were attached to the handle. The other had been re-taped with just one measly piece on each end. When I picked it up, the screws fell onto my front porch. Fortunately everything was there and I put them together in a few minutes.I bought one as a handle for my husband's bed, and the other as a stool for me to get into the top of the closet. His is zip-tied to his bed and it's pretty sturdy that way.I wish I had bought mime years ago. It stores easily under my bed and is super convenient.

The stool is well built double construction in the center keeps it from sagging handle is at a good height for older people we bought this for a trip to Branson and we had older people getting in and out of the van in the stool made it perfect and I think it said 330 lb weight limit but I hope nobody reads this that went with us because I'm sure we had a couple that exceeded that and the stand stood the test no pulling intended it's a great value for the money if you need it in the kitchen or if you have elderly person at home it'll be great to help them get in and out of the bed I would recommend it highly The performance can't be beat

I don’t know how I ever got by without it since I am an elderly person I needed that help to get in and out of bed. It is great.

The stool itself is exactly what I was looking for. However, the box it arrived in had been taped up aggressively at both ends. After thoroughly searching, there were no nuts, bolts, nor washers to assemble it. I needed it for my massage business, so I went to the nearest lumberyard and spent $17.00 and about an hour getting things all assembled. I highly suspect it was a previously returned item, that was shipped back out without inspection. DMI customer service wasn't helpful, just stating the assembly parts "should be at the bottom of the box, or attached to the handle of item". Luckily, I work in healthcare and have assembled many AAD in the past, and had a good idea of what I needed. The screws were metric, I was just bummed I had to spend so much additional money to put it together.

This unit was very easy to assemble and is stabile but I wish the footprint was slightly bigger, I would buy again.

I loved this step stool so much that I ended up buying another one for each of my high beds. It helps so much to get in bed. I love it because it has a handle.

Returned unit. Nothing wrong with the unit. Physical therapist thought it would be good. Although the unit itself is stable my wife just never felt steady with a one-hand grip. Note on assembly. DON'T attempt to use the flimsy wrench they give you. Use a pair of pliers or one of your own wrenches and it is a snap. I wasted far too much time initially trying to use the sheet metal grade wrench.

The best thing about this stool is it sturdy and the handle gives one an added sense of security.It can be used in closets, the kitchen, the bathroom for stepping out of the walk in tub. Almost any where you find yourself using a step ladder, or straining to reaching for something from a high shelf. It is a good weigh which makes it portable for most folks.GDH

This stool is a good idea but it has a few major flaws.. No where in the pkg does it label the screws to be used where.. I used the wrong screw and ruined the stool.. Now I have a lump in my stool.. They should never make screws longer than items .. The stool is not fixable now and will be uneven and for a disabled person that is dangerous.. Would not buy again..
