It is small but thats why its called "mini" however i love using my lighted jewelers loop and seeing the details pop out on the specimens. Also reading up on the items in the book really gives you the feel of the type of learning you would get from the placard a a museum and even gives detailed info about the particular specimen as well. I am so in love with it i picked up the second edition on ebay and just waiting for the first edition to pop back up so i have the complete collection. For nearly $300.00 they could have made a large format booklet.While I had hoped the family would have spent the time to read and explore about each artifact, they quickly lost interest, and now I fear it will now be ignored.
