Nicely packaged shelf. Feels sturdy and fits properly. Came with everything to mount it. No bends or breaks or marks. Definitely will go with these in the future because they're just as good as name brand but cheaper.

I am very happy with the purchase of these shelves. They are solid, no flaws and fit my NavePoint rack system perfectly. I had purchased three of them and all three arrived in the same exceptional quality as advertised. Would buy again if I ever need additional rack shelving.

The AC Infinity Vented Cantilever 1U Universal Rack Shelf, 14" Deep was a good quality shelf. It however was too deep for my needs. I returned it for an 8" shelf which worked great. The build quality of this shelf was very high standards.

This review for: AC Infinity Vented Cantilever 1U Universal Rack Shelf, 14" Deep... Good solid 2-post fixed shelf. Just be aware of a couple items: 1. Don't expect to get a full 1U space for whatever you want to put into it. It has ~ 7mm lip +2.4mm = ~9.4mm = ~ 3/8" (give or take); that is typical of these types of shelves, but ensure what you want to squeeze in will fit. The good is that make it very solid--absolutely no complaints in that department; it is not going to move around. 2. The rack ears accept only M5, not M6. If you are like me and have attempted to standardize on M6 because you are using 4-post racks, this will be an outlier. (Suppose I could have pounded M6 through the ears, but preferred not to). Only reason for taking off a star.[1] [1] OTOH... anyone using this should probably assume that, given it is intended for 2-post installation, should also assume it is designed with M5 in mind... but should it have also been designed to accept M6 screws? Should I have taken off a star for that nit? In any case, make no mistake... solid and excellent value.

I have a DIY server rack that doesn’t quite meet the 19-inch standard and my machines don’t have rack rails so I used angle aluminum for “poor man’s rack rails“, which ended up being about 16.2 inches apart at their smallest, with the posts of the rack being 17.5 to 17.55 inches apart. For most servers, this isn’t an issue (a Dell R310 is about 17.1 inches wide) but some thinner servers will slide too far to one side and fall down. Not ideal. I purchased this rack shelf in hopes that 1) it’d fit in my rack and 2) it would keep a particularly troublesome 16.75” wide Oracle server from falling on its side and denting my storage server. It did both! I was initially concerned that the 17.2” USABLE width (plus 4.8mm total for the side walls which isn’t usable) would make the shelf too wide for my rack, but with the side walls it ends up being about 17.45” wide, which fits near-perfectly. I can’t vouch for its weight capacity though, as the shelf is being supported by aluminum rails but it seems like it’d hold switches, routers, small desktops, and maybe even a lighter Dell server (R210, etc.) with ease. I will definitely be buying another one (or two!) in the future.

Works incredibly well, I have two now. I use it for my Pis, my Apple time capsule, my Apple TV, my router, and a few switches, really holds up well! The depth is really great.

Used this shelf to hold network equipment that was not rack mounted. The shelf is super solid and thick. The the pattern of the vents are really cool looking. Very happy with the shelf.

I have another AC Infinity shelf and it is quite nice. This one is OK; I just might have gotten a less than normal unit. I did not notice the included cage nuts and bolts until later. The standard bolts don't fit in easily. I did use the included hardware once I found them. QA/QC was not done on the unit that I got. The left side was not bent properly to 90 degrees. I normally would have sent it back for replacement, but I needed to get my equipment mounted. Just unlucky this time
