It will probably work with an adjustable. There are slats to lay down and you will just not put those in and set your adjustable base within the 4 sides. We love the USB port in the top and hid all the chords behind the bed. It looks very nice.

yes this is a great bed frame and could accommodate a range of mattresses by adjusting the height of the headboard
