Apollo Rubber Wood Magazine Rack

When confined to a wheelchair, manipulating bits and pieces can be rather awkward! Things keep falling off your lap, and carefully positioned parts always come apart. There was much bad language flying about while putting the magazine rack together, and it took much longer than it would have in earlier times. However the package arrived around lunch time, and I finished it by early afternoonI found the design far better than most of the ‘flat pack’ stuff I used to come across. Ample leeway is provided for slipping the pieces into place, and it was quite easy to make a stable enough structure before finally tightening the screws.WARNING – if using a ‘heavy’ screwdriver, be careful not to overdo it. I crushed one of the surrounds of a screw hole by being too energetic. Easily solved with a spot of PVA glue and a light weight, but it wouldn’t have happened with more care. I also put a drop of PVA in each screw hole before fitting the hole covers [I’ve lost count of the times a ‘push fit’ has come loose] I was impressed throughout the construction by what seemed to have the thought put into home construction.My wife is very impressed by the magazine holder, and especially its cost. I am ordering one for her immediately, but she has been warned that she will have to help me with construction. I know she would have helped me with this one, but pride is a terrible thing!

Arrived in good time and packaged appropriately.I found this an absolute nightmare to put together. At one point I would happily have thrown it out of the window.I am sure it would be easier if there were two people, one to hold the thing in place while the other fixed them.The end results, for me is exposed raw plugs. So a bit disappointing.I may dismantle it and have another go to try to get it to look better. Just not yet!!It appears pretty sturdy once it is assembled. Looks nice enough.

The magazine rack was as described. It was delivered punctually, took very little time to put together, looks good and serves the purpose for which it was purchased.

Ok, liked the look and sturdiness of the wood, was disappointed when it came to find it had to be assembled. Assembling it was a right pain, that's an understatement ! it just kept falling apart basically because the wooden rawlplugs were too small, really loose in the holes. So you would fit two pieces together then it would just keep collapsing. My husband was so patient, I would have thrown in out the door. He tied part of it up with string which helped a bit, eventually completed, but I don't have a lot of confidence in lifting and moving it, because of those loose wooden rawlplugs), just feel it will end up a pack of cards before long.

Nice solid wood magazine rack that's larger than I thought when assembled (despite reading the dimensions given). This rack holds a lot of stuff, plus a neat design feature of the thin v-shaped shelf for pens, glasses and remote controls is a useful addition.The only negative comment I'd make: on the box is printed the words "Easy Self-Assembly". Well, like many other commenters here, I would like to point out that that isn't true! It took over forty minutes to put together after much frustration. But don't let that put you off - it's a very good, solid product and worth the hassle, I think. One final point: in the description, it says "Manual Included"; there is no manual, just a printed sheet of paper with basic instructions.All in all, the assembly aside, I can recommend this product.

Having read a few adverse comments about this product I received it with a certain trepidation,but no worries,admittedly the instructions weren't brilliant,more pictorial rather than the written word,but nevertheless easy enough to follow.The only comment I have is that it is a two person assembly job,as it is a little fiddly trying to align all the dowels/screw holes up prior to securing them.Otherwise a brilliant sturdy little piece of furniture.Would certainly recommend it.

There is assembly required which isn't helped by not enough screws and the instructions so small as to be unreadable. My husband is an expert DIY'er but he said it was difficult to put together so be warned if your not used to DIY.

Good sturdy rack. My husband is a tradesman and said if you didn’t have any knowledge of carpentry it would be difficult to put together! Holes in the wrong place so he had to drill some more! Otherwise it’s lovely and holds a lot of magazines.

Au risque de me répéter, qualité et robustesse sont bien présentes, et malgré une notice d'assemblage plutôt succincte, l'assemblage est aisé avec un peu de réflexion. La visserie est bien sûr fournie.Côté dimensions extérieures:- largeur minimale 19 cm, maximale 26 cm- longueur 42,5 cm- hauteur minimale 32 cm, maximale 39 cmIl est pourvu :- d'une planchette de séparation à la base- d'une petite tablette en "V" pour accueillir des stylos, crayons, etc, ce qui sera utile pour les amateurs de mots croisés, fléchés, etc, mais dont le montage n'est pas indispensable- d'une poignée facilitant le déplacement , située bien sûr au sommet.Pour ma part, je l'utilise en usage détourné, en bout de canapé, pour accueillir Chromebook et MacBook, tous deux dans leurs housses respectives, et ainsi à disposition. I was completely pleased with this magazine rack. The rack in the top for the TV remote was totally unexpected and pleasing.

Para mi servicio es justo lo que quería.Me a costado un poco montarlo porque estoy sola pero conseguí sujetar las piezas para poder atornillarlo y al final fue de lo mas sencillo.Cualquiera lo puede hacer solo se necesita un poco de paciencia.Queda perfecto.

Articolo molto bello, consegnato nei termini e perfettamente imballato: non assegno le cinque stelle in quanto l'assemblamento del prodotto prevede alcune difficolta': occorre effettivamente l'aiuto di un'altra persona e , prima di avvitare definitivamente le viti (sono autofilettant), si consiglia di utilizzare un trapano a punta piccola per rendere piu profonda (di poco) la sede delle stesse, questo, per evitare di svitarle con tutte le difficolta' del caso.
