ART4-Output Headamp 4 Headphone Amplifier

I use it in conjunction with an ART SplitMix 4 to combine the output of 2 laptops and a computer at my desk and output it all to both my speakers and headphones. Works very very well. I'm not an audiophile, but for me, the sound is very good, and more importantly, I no longer need to plug things in and out and can adjust the sound levels from the different sources easily. I used the Splitmix on its own for a few years, and while that worked ok, the SplitMix is passive powered so the output was quite quiet. Now boosted with the ART amp I can again "accidentally" piss off the neighbours when I need to.

Very nice bit of kit

I bought this because I knew it would be a good quality product, I have other ART music products and they are all excellent. No reason to believe this won't be as good although I haven't had a chance to use it yet.However I give it one star because it is supplied with an EU 2-pin transformer plug, despite information from previous customers that it comes with a UK plug (which was my main reason for buying from Amazon). This would not be a serious problem with a non-transformer plug as you can change it easily but with the heavy transformer plug you have to use an adaptor which creates an unwieldy and unsafe setup.The cost of an adaptor makes this more expensive, a compatible UK 12v transformer plug is even more expensive and more trouble to track down.Other suppliers in the UK provide this product for a similar price with the UK plug so shop around. This seems to be the result of the original UK supplier being taken over by Musicstore (based in Germany). Musicstore give good service but they don't supply UK plugs, unlike Thomann who always supply UK plugs or adaptors with products sold to the UK.

Used only once so far seems fine. Useful to have eight headphone outputs.
