The media could not be loaded. I bought this to attach to the sides of my fancy mouse tank, because I had several small house mice climb through the bars and hang out with my girls! Everyone was fine and my girls didn't seem to care in the slightest, one of them even was grooming the house mice before I could get them out. I ended up keeping a couple of them and used this hardware cloth to make sure there was no way they could climb through the bars again, and it's been very effective and looks pretty decent in my opinion! I ended up using tin snips and cutting the wires flush against eachother to avoid sharp edges, tucking the sides of the mesh under the lip of the tank where the wire slides under and I zip tied it tightly in place along all the sides. It's secure, looks to be in great condition and I still have a lot left. I appreciated how the bundle was wrapped together when I first unpackaged it but unfortunately I got the stick out of the middle and immediately lost the nice tightly rolled bundle and ended up having to roll it together by hand when I was done with it, but that was my mistake. This was one of the most reasonably priced hardware cloth rolls I could find with good reviews and I'm glad I picked it!

Used this as garden fencing - it’s been very effective. Pain to cut and work with though. Tin snips are your best bet, but it’s a slow process.

So far this is the best size for rats. 1/4 inch holes. The metal feels sturdy. I did have to double layer it upward as I wanted to really fence in the area and not give the vermin a chance to jump over. Less rats now so assuming it's working in conjunction to everything else I put out to rid them bastards.... Happy purchase. Good price. 👍
