Accurate guide but noisy
Love it, a great guide to when the tides in or out, it’s accurate enough for planning a walk as we live really close to the beach. Only real negative is it is really loud, wanted to place it in the conservatory but settled for the hall way!!

Not bad for the price
Accurate as it can be... Handy at my beach hut.

Lovely Clock 😊
Delighted with the Clock. Looks superb, nice and functional! Follow instructions for setting to the letter tho’ and remember to add or subtract the actual tide compensation times for your coastal area to or from the time displayed, otherwise you could get caught out, you’ll find them in your local tide times booklet, important because they can vary significantly along a stretch of coast, as an example, there’s a full half hour of difference less than 15 miles from my location! That could mean the difference of getting off the sands in time, or being trapped.....

Seems like a good idea
Wholly inaccurate when compared with the BBC Weather Tide Times for Teesmouth on the Internet. New batteries made no difference. An interesting idea but it is no use. This may just be my item of course but it is of little use after a couple of years of observing its indications.

Inaccurate with strange instructions
Over the past six weeks I have repeatedly set this clock at high tide, including on the full moon as the instructions state and the clock always becomes inaccurate after a couple of days. The clock came with a slip of paper in the box saying not to use high power batteries such as Duracell batteries as they are too powerful for the clock and make it run too fast, this is nonsense. This should be a warning sign, I use Panasonic batteries which produce 1.46v , which I tested with a multimeter and the clock runs too fast, this suggests to me that the clock is inaccurate and will only give satisfactory results with a failing battery if the output of the failing battery magically matches up with the inaccuracy of the clock

There is a tide in the affairs of men ......
A quirky but useful addition to the usual barometer/hygro/thermometer combo that adorns many homes - especially if you are a regular coastal visitor. The 12hr 25min clock mechanism effectively keeps in step with the tides and should need adjustment only infrequently.

... holiday home close to the beach and this is great for telling us the best time to visit
We have a holiday home close to the beach and this is great for telling us the best time to visit. So far it has been spot on. Simple to set up and very clearly shows the state of the tide. The clear plastic lens protects the face - some tide clocks don't have this.
