Brilliant, ideal for remote working & saves have multiple desktops

I was originally interested in buying this to pair with my fifth-generation Lenovo X1 carbon laptop. Having already tried to use a more generic product of a similar type, which does not appear to work correctly with my machine, I decided that the best move would be to go for a product specifically designed for the kind machine I have. The particular attraction of this (and similar) docks is that you can connect your machine to it through a single USB type C connector, which then supplies the power and allows connection through to all the various ports, including video and USB.Fortunately, this is exactly what it manages to do. As an additional feature, it also has the power button built into the box, which works pretty much as the same button does on the laptop itself. Therefore, it is possible to power the machine on and off without opening and closing the lid if that is desirable.There are just a couple of points to note:1. I run a Linux distro on my machine, so for anyone reading this who might be interested, it works fine with that setup.2. I have only given it four stars, because although it works exactly as expected and does a good job, I have to admit that it is rather expensive for what it achieves.Therefore, my conclusion is that I am happy to have bought it, because I think that the overall convenience is worth the price, but it may be hard to justify for other people.

This was easy to connect up.Make sure you also buy some Display Port to HDMI cables as the same time.

This C type dock works perfectly. Connectivity is brilliant and all just usijng the one C cable, charging and display to 2 seperate screens. A definite time saver.

I had been searching for a solution to drive my two external monitors from my one USB-C port. I had tried several others to no avail. Initially, I could not get it to work, but following advice from Lenovo, I finally achieved my goal. It's not a perfect solution, but it works. It is expensive, but significantly cheaper than other vendors.

I bought a used one since new are so very expensive. I have yet to try all the ports, but the ones I have tried have been working great with my Lenovo Miix 720-12ikb tablet/notebook hybrid. One issue I have is that the monitor does not go to sleep when connected to the dock as the dock keeps waking it but without a signal, the monitor just goes to the blue screen and tries sleeping again. Not sure if it's specific to my dock, my monitor or my notebook...

love how these docking stations work so seemlesly for laptops, its everything i dreamed it would be and more
