Nice sprayer at a good price.
Nearly identical to the Field King sprayer. Only difference is the hose and wand are upgraded. And price is slightly lower.

So far this sprayer has worked great.
Have used it multiple times and have sprayed about 80 gallons. The battery has great life and I have never run out of power while spraying. I spray between 16-20 gallons at a time. The sprayer can send a stream of liquid quite a distance depending on the nozzle used which was a big help for me. I bought this sprayer because I also have 2 of their manual sprayers and they have worked fine for years.

A professional quality backpack sprayer
First a bit of background - We have a small 3 acre ranch and orchard and use sprayers for a variety of tasks, spraying fruit trees, plants and so on. We have several sprayers, all hand pump types, both canister and backpack versions. I've found hand pump sprayers not very efficient and a pain to use, so we've been looking for a high quality battery powered portable sprayer for some time, this one caught my eye as it had all the features we were looking for, so I figured I'd give it a try.Upon opening the box, I was immediately impressed. This sprayer is what I consider "professional grade". The sturdy plastic tank holds 4 gallons, which is a decent amount without being too heavy to carry around. The backpack frame is a combination of heavy-duty plastic and steel, with nice, thickly padded straps, that fit well, and are easy to adjust. There is just over 4 feet of high-quality hose attached to a heavy-duty valve body with a stainless steel wand, which comes with a variety of tips, which we found covered all of our needs. The stand-out feature of the sprayer is the integrated 18 volt battery operated pump. In my use, it has done an excellent job of spraying. The pump is pressure activated, so when you stop spraying the pump stops pumping, which saves both pump and battery life. The sprayer came with a single 18 volt, 2.0Ah battery, which last a surprisingly long time. I've gone through 4 tanks of spray and have not yet needed to recharge the battery. The listing claims 50 gallons of battery life on a single charge, which would be fantastic. (50 gallons is over 12 full tanks of spray, as I have only done 4, I can't yet comment if 50 gallons is an achievable amount.)Our use is limited to organic sprays, water based light horticultural oils and natural pest and weed control mixtures. I found it sprayed these well. The multiple tips and "spray optimizer" allows you to tailor the spray coverage to your needs. I found the "foaming tip" useful for weed control and the wide fan tips good for spraying trees or covering a wide area. There are a lot of small features that make this a great sprayer. Such as the large filter screen attached to the outlet at the bottom of the tank. The multiple sprays tips, the spray optimizer, filler screen, heavy-duty Vitron gaskets, good spray pressure and volume, and of course, the pump, battery and charger.I have a few tips after using the sprayer: First, prior to your first use, check that the red filter screen is properly seated in the bottom of the tank. Mine was not, no doubt due to shipping, which resulted in the tank not fully emptying. Resetting the filter solved the problem. With the filter properly seated, the tank will pump almost completely dry with less than 4 ounces of liquid remaining. Priming the pump the first time took a few minutes, which may have been due to the filter not being properly seated. You definitely should read the instructions and test the unit with water prior to spraying. If the unit does not prime, try removing the filter and shaking the water filled tank with the pump running, that worked for me. (I think our unit was initially vapor-locked, shaking the tank up and down forced water into the pump resolving the issue.) Also, if you are careful, you can store the battery charger in the backpack battery compartment of the unit. It is a tight fit, however, worth the effort, as it puts everything is in one place.Bottom line: I am very pleased with this battery operated backpack sprayer. It has proven to be a huge time saver, making a necessary chore easier and faster to accomplish. The unit is well made and heavy duty, and, so far, has performed very well. It checks all of our boxes. I give it 5 stars.

Dead Battery
Brand new out of the box. I tried to charge the battery and both green and red lights are flashing. I needed to spray my yard this weekend and now I can’t! Upset!

A Well-Made Sprayer From A Reputable/Reliable Maker
This is my second Smith sprayer. And the two reasons I ordered this particular Smith sprayer are that my first Smith sprayer was/is an excellent sprayer. And after several years of use, it still works perfectly. So, the primary reason I decided to order this second Smith sprayer (that I didn’t technically need) is because it is battery powered. Which of course means I will no longer have to constantly pump the sprayer by hand. Yay! Even less of that awful thing called exercise. 😊Anyway, I’ve only used this sprayer once so far, but it worked really well. I like it a lot. Spray-wise it performed just as well as my manual Smith sprayer with literally no effort on my part. And none of the fatigue that came from pumping my manual sprayer for an hour or so. So as of right now I am nothing but pleased with this sprayer.Consequently, I also have no justifiable reason to not recommend this sprayer. However, again, I’ve only used this sprayer once so far, so I will certainly let you know if I have any problems with this sprayer in the first couple of years or so.If you have any questions about this Smith battery-powered sprayer, please feel free to ask, and I'll try my best to answer. I hope you found this review helpful.

Works great for applying Talstar to my property.
I've just used this sprayer to treat the whole back area of my property as well as some areas around the sides and front of it with Talstar to help keep the large numbers of mosquitoes back from our home. The back side of our property is up against a large section of wetlands which is perfect breeding ground for all kinds of bugs, but especially mosquitoes. If we don't do some kind of treatment, going outside starting early in the evening is next to impossible. However we also have to be very specific with where we spray because we have pet ducks and a large food garden and I prefer to keep any non-organic chemicals away from both. So a sprayer like this is perfect for applying the repellant. I'm able to control exactly where the mist goes without it leaking or getting everywhere I don't want it to.The rechargeable batter works well so I don't have to stop at all in the middle of application. I'm able to get the whole property done in one go. I'm very happy with how well this sprays and the long battery life. It works great!
