Lowest price coconut coir on Amazon - GREAT QUALITY PRODUCT - Repeat buyer!
It doubles in size after you add water. It is BETTER than potting soil and very nutrient dense for growing plants. This product HOLDS MOISTURE in the soil better and longer than conventional potting soil - so it is good for water conservation. I spent HOURS researching the best price and this is the best deal. I am a long time loyal customer and will buy it again and again. Coconut coir has everything you need to grow crops. I do not have a car and got fed up dragging heavy bags of potting soil home from the store in rolling carts. Because this is a dehydrated product it is lightweight. This is MUCH BETTER for the environment that potting soil - most potting soil is NOT from renewable green sources - such as peat moss which is dug up from the ground in a destructive non-environmental manner - peat moss takes about a century to create - it is from ancient peat bogs in the ground and dug up to sell as peat moss. Perlite in potting soil is heated at around 800 degrees and TERRIBLE carbon footprint. Coconut coir is the shell and hairy fibers on the shell which left over after fresh coconut is harvested and cracked open for processing as a food product. Buy purchasing Coconut coir we are eliminating WASTE by using the shell for a good purpose.

Good Product
Good materials that's why I bought it again this week and I bought it 2 months ago. It keeps soil moist longer. Not as good as peat moss but it works I mixed with mulch, wood chips and native soil.

Worked great
Overall, I'm very happy with this product. The water absorption/brick expansion wasn't instantaneous like other brands I've used, but in 10-15 minutes it's ready to go. Instead of adding 4-5 quarts of water as suggested, I found that using 2 quarts gave me the ideal moisture level I needed. The resulting product, which for me is the most important factor, consists of fine particules, light and airy, with no big chunks. It mixes easily with potting soil, and is a perfect addition for dirt that's too wet.

Coco coir
Recieved product and put 8 bricks in water, they reacted as as stated. Will be using these in my soil mix. I like the feel of the product, good water retention, good soil seperation.

Good for the soil
This is great to have when you have a large container for planting flowers and the dirt isn't the greatest where I live so it helps the dirt maintain moisture.

Worked well but had a smell of mold
We used in our composting toilet and it expanded well and didn’t take too long, looked nice and fluffy, easy to use, my only and biggest problem was the smell, it had. A moldy smell to it from the beginning.
