Actually 3 to 4 stars, depending. There are some consistency issues that may not affect you.
I'm using this for something different. I did notice some inconsistency with the mold/manufacture. But they may not be important if you're using it actually in a car dashboard.I put in some track shelves recently. The brackets have a space in between the two sides. I've included a picture just so you can see what I'm talking about. Since the bracket is metal, the shelves tend to slide along them. So I wanted something rubber to help prevent sliding. These seemed perfect. And they do work for that pretty well. But I did notice that the gripping ridges of these are a little inconsistent. The 'wings' one side are bent up and not consistently the same length. If you were using this for something very tight, like along your dashboard, they might not stay tight very well. But I don't know that for sure, only you can judge. So I added some pictures to show you what I mean. I don't want to deduct points for something that isn't actually a problem for it's intended use. If the space is very tight and you're going to have to really jam these in there, then it should be fine. But if there's a gap and you're relying on the measurements and dimensions to fit the space you have, consider carefully if these will work. For my purposes they worked ok. Maybe not ideal, but 'gets the job done', and I haven't seen any other better affordable option.

It fits my vehicle
March 27, 2024:This flexible seal is suitable for its intended purpose and the little tool is useful. The seal may be trimmed to fit the specific dashboard. In my case there was a need to leave a gap so the VIN would remain visible.Of course, I can't rate it yet for longevity and durability. If anything remarkable happens, I'll update the review.
