This is a great umbrella in fair weather. Does not hold up or stay in place with any wind at all. And umbrella down with 100 lbs of sand bags holding base in place the base bent like a thin piece of metal in a thunderstorm. The design of the base is flawed and it did not hold up at all.

This is a very nice addition to our patio. You just cannot leave it up when there is a moderate or more of a breeze, which can defeat the purpose. The price on Amazon was great!

Do NOT order this umbrella without ordering the sand/water filled bags to put on the stand..it will not stand on it's own... other than that..for the price it's fine

This is a great investment. It's very study and a great shade. The color is beautiful and is exactly as pictured. I did order the additional plastic "sand holders" that fit perfectly in the base and make for a very secure umbrella. I purchased a bag of sand from Home Depot and filled all four full of sand. We live in Colorado and had 86 mph winds here in Erie about a month ago and our umbrella didn't move an inch. Just be sure that you do not leave it up when the winds come. The tie down is secure and easy. The up and down is very easy and quick! All in all, we love our new umbrella!

Maybe the life span of this product is short but I placed them near the pool and by the 4th year the winding mechanisms fell apart , then the canvas started falling apart and the poles rusted and bent. Took them down today as scrap. Disappointed.

This patio umbrella is fantastic. Set up was easy and it is a very strong unit. It was quite a breezy day when I set it up, and it was very resistant against the wind. It provides good coverage from the sun, but it’s small and compact enough to be folded up and put aside when you want to get some sun. This was a great addition to our patio, very glad we purchased it.

We bought this in June of 2018. We bought a darker red because it matched the deck but by the end of the summer the color had faded terribly. We were surprised as they offer a lifetime guarantee. Now, it says Amazon doesn't know if/when it will be available. We did use it this summer because the shade does work well. The movement is versatile and provides a large amount of shade. We won't use it next summer because it looks awful. The base required is large, but probably needed for the weight and size of the umbrella. So we will look for a different colored umbrella, lighter and from a different company, unless the lifetime guarantee comes through.

I've been looking for a replacement umbrella for my deck after my 20 year old one finally died. This umbrella fits perfectly under my eaves, and looks great! And I can actually move the lever to lower the umbrella! The other stores wanted $4-500 for the same thing.
