I really like this peeler. It’s very sharp, smooth to use, and makes peeling quick and effortless. Feels sturdy and well-made, not flimsy at all. Great quality for the price—highly recommend.

When I took it out of the box I'm thinking it swivels quite a bit, wasn't sure how well it's going to peel, but then I peeled my first potato and this is definitely a great peeler! Unlike some peelers it doesn't cut half the potato off either, it neatly and perfectly took off just the outside skin, razor sharp!

REALLY like this peeler. We tried 3 different ones and was by far the best. It was most expensive by $2, @ $7.80. we didn't think we would like the big grip handle but it felt the best, swivel was perfect no matter which direction. Much better quality. Perfect size for my hand.

I had a potato peeler that was.. ok. It would peel regular russet potatoes well enough, but it didn't work well on, say, sweet potatoes. So I decided to splurge and purchase this somewhat fancy peeler. Having owned it a good while now, I can say I don't regret the purchase at all. I'm half convinced this thing could peel a rock. It peels a sweet potato like it's nothing. Zero effort. I like to make mashed sweet potatoes, and I can peel 3 pounds of them in a few minutes; it's super fast. I really like the blade guard as well; just pinch it, slide one side in and then the other, and release. It sticks on well and makes the peeler sit in a drawer nicely.

It's somewhat like the more classic design, but is a bit "too much". The handle has a nice grip, but I think is a bit too big. It's sharp as can be, so that's a major plus. I lost the little plastic guard for the blade the first time I took it off. The little doohickey at the end for gouging things like potato eyes is horrible.

Sharp and cuts good. It cuts very close to the skin of the potato though. Sometimes have to pass multiple times if there is a bruise or defect on the potato. Can't really say that is a flaw though so will give it the 5 stars.

I recently purchased the Deiss PRO Swivel Vegetable Peeler after my old one broke, and I’m incredibly impressed! This peeler gets used daily in my kitchen, and it’s holding up beautifully with no signs of wear. The sharp stainless steel blade makes peeling effortless, even with tougher skins like carrots and potatoes. I especially love the non-slip handle, which provides a comfortable and secure grip, even when my hands are wet. Plus, the bright orange color makes it easy to find in my drawer. It’s also dishwasher safe, which is a huge bonus for quick cleanup. Overall, this peeler has exceeded my expectations — highly recommended for anyone looking for a durable and efficient kitchen tool!

While the actual peeling works well, a major design blunder is the way the eye remover at the tip is facing. See my picture for comparison with my old peeler: in the Deiss, the cutting edge of the eye remover faces the same way as the peeling blade instead of the opposite way. This weird choice requires that the peeler be rotated 180 degrees in the hand every time a potato eye needs to be removed or use an awkward motion without rotation. When holding the peeler in eye removal position, one also risks cutting one’s thumb, which then is close to the sharp blade and pushing toward it.
