My two year old loves this! Works with all his big jigs rails and ramps and pulls the other magnetic trains around the track wonderfully. The only problem is that the battery doesn't last that long but I guess this is expected if the little ones play with it non-stop!

A great train. My little boy loves it. Powerful enough to climb even fairly steep slopes. Nearly a year later it's still going strong. Only lost a star as it's fairly noisy esp when your child has had it on all day

Little boy was excited about this train when it arrived it didn’t work or move forward. Very disappointed. Tried to fix it to no avail and my 5 year old was very disappointed

Some of the other brands of engine struggle to get over hills or bridges, this one does not seem to suffer from that problem.

My 3 year old was so excited to get his flying Scotsman train. The packing was fine, and it came quicker than estimated. We opened it and put in the batteries. It made a fairly loud engine noise and was rapid going around his wooden railway. However after around 20 minutes the wheels stopped turning. it still made the noises but for some reason the wheels just would turn anymore. After changing the batteries again, it was still the same. I remember reading some reviews saying the similar things happened so I immediately started the refund process, which was straightforward. A couple hours later, my toddler was so desperate to see his train again so i let him have one last look at it before we send it back the next morning. All of a sudden the wheels turned again. I was skeptical so I waited until the morning to see if it was still working but it had stopped turning again so i have sent this back. this isn't a cheap train so its really disappointing. We are going to try again with the Brio version when the refund is processed. its more expensive but seems to be better reviews.

Great gift

Looks and feels really good, but sadly failed very quickly. It the motor spins but the wheels don't go, but at the price I got it (£9.99) it's fine as a push along engine.The sound effects aren't brilliant, the whistle sounds more like a pterodactyl scream!

Fitted train line ok. Bought for present. Can be difficult to change batteries. Grandson still plays with it.

I had to purchase three engines before finding this beauty for my grandson. hands down the favorite ! long life on the battery and moves at a perfect clip

Ho acquistato questo articolo perchè ho delle rotaie di legno Ikea e il treno a batteria è il massimo.Ho letto delle recensioni su questo modello e confermo che le batterie durano parecchio.Riesce a trainare 4 vagoni del kit ikea. Potrebbe trainarne di più ma il magnete poi si stacca. La dimensione non consente di passare sotto il ponte degli acessori ikea ma opportunamente spessorato si riesce lo stesso.Il senso di marcia è solo in avanti e il pulsante di azionamento è comodo.

I bought this for my grandson’s birthday who absolutely loves trains. His party isn’t until February 12th. Thankfully I let him open it early. First of all it was suppose to come with two wooden track pieces which was not in package. I paid around $25 dollars for it. My grandson was SOOOO EXCITED UNTIL IT DID NOT WORK! The train and wheels worked but as soon as you let go of on button wheels stop. MY GRANDSONS LOVE TRAINS!!! They have at least 100 trains. Almost all of the accessories as well as three tables and dining room table. Endless. ALL TYPES. THIS IS THE FIRST TIME THAT I HAVE BEEN DISAPPOINTED WITH WOODEN TRAINS. I WOULD TRY TO FIX IT IF I KNEW HOW. I’m just hoping I will be able to return. Not sure of date yet.

Ho comprato questa locomotiva e quella della Brio grande locomotiva elettrica. Entrambe funzionano con 2 batterie AAA ma questa va molto più veloce e consuma meno. A confronto sembra che quella della Brio sia ferma. Inoltre la vite che regge le pile è molto più accessibile di quella della Brio.
