I'm just sitting over here crying out of happiness, holy lord. This beautiful, magical, tender, endearing, meaningful, heart melting *absolute dream* of a book is EVERYTHING that my soul needed to feel happy and at home. It's warm hugs, softness, thoughtfulness, moving gentleness and beautiful sensitivity all wrapped into one and sealed with a rainbow - coloured blanket of wildflowers glowing in the sunlight and stars twinkling in the cobalt blue skies. I can't! My heart just feels like it has been filled with sweetness, the purest of joy, soulful warmth and SO much unconditional love. 🥺❤️Beckett and Evie journey to finding their happy is so endearing, precious and special that it fills up your heart, makes it soar, soothes it and embraces it in the most comforting hug ever. 😭☀️I cannot even begin to express just how much I LOVEEEEED their story! It's so magical and I'll never stop talking about it. The way they loved, accepted and embraced ALL parts of each other, the way they treasured the tiniest, most precious things about one another, the way they cherished each other's presence and expressed their love in the quietest, loudest, most evocative ways touched my heart SO deeply. I was smiling like a goofball, laughing endlessly, crying out of sheer happiness and love, melting out of warmth and just swooning while getting to know them and falling in love with them. Their beautiful story will surely make a permanent place for itself in your soul. Just like it did in mine! It made me feel so secure, seen and held. 🥺✨BK Borrison is SUCH a marvellous, creative and beautiful weaver of words! I'm in awe of her tender writing which flows like poetry. Her books are an absolute joy to read. They make you burst with happiness, squeal out of pure joy and feel from such a deep place in your heart. It's unreal. ❤️❤️Beckett, ahhh! I need a moment. What can I say about this tender hearted, precious, wholesome, caring and thoughtful grumpy bean who is actually the softest soul EVER. He has four cat babies whom he loves with his whole heart, a baby duck he brought home and claims to not have adopted despite bringing him duck food and building a home for him, who let's his sister draw tattoos on him because nobody would trust her skills when she was just starting out, who adores gazing at the sky, talking about stars and loves Evie more than anything else in the world! And to be cared for by him is just everything. I can't. 🥺😭And Evie, my girl! OH MY GOD. I'M GOING TO START SOBBING NOW. I love her SO much, my sunshine girl. She's truly sun beams, star light, wildflowers and fluffy muffins all wrapped into one. Evie is honestly the most loveable, endearing, empathetic bean EVER! She beholds a golden heart, soul made out of nothing but love and kindness that lights up her eyes and everyone she meets. She's truly one of those people who make you feel safe. She did exactly that for me. She made me feel safe. Like I was wrapped in a soft hug! She's SO genuine, accepting, unconditionally loving, thoughtful and understanding. The type of person who listens only and only to listen. Who helps without ever wanting anything in return. Who loves with till no end and someone who'll hold you together when you're falling apart. She's my absolute favourite. The way she cared about the people around her and specially Beckett is just the sweetest thing ever! Always with a smile on her face, giggles and infectious laughs tucked into her pocket and just SO love to share. She radiates goodness and magic. 🥺❤️✨And together, Beckett and Evie are everything soothing, special, beautiful and endearing that exists in the world. 🌻

In The Weeds by B. K. Borison is the second book in the Lovelight Series. In this book, we feature Evelyn St. James (Evie) and Beckett Porter. Evie is a social media celebrity and influencer who is here in the tiny town of Inglewild to feature and promote Lovelight Farms.Beckett works with Stella and Laura at the farms. But little did they know, they would come again face-to-face here after a steaming one-night stand in Maine. Evie visits the town and realizes that it's not due to being stomped with work and always busy shooting; she has lost her old touch and meaning and is looking for things that would make her happy here.She takes a long overdue break from her work and social media life and decides to stay lowkey for a while in this beautiful town where nothing is hidden and is staying at Beckett's house for a while. Beckett has not been able to think of anything else but her after that one night. Things are steaming between them; the chemistry is sizzling, but none of them are able to admit it until that one drunken night.I am falling in love with this series even more and more. I enjoyed these characters as well as the plot equally as much as I did the first book. I felt the romance and chemistry in this book were written better than the first. The next book features Laura and Caleb, and I cannot wait to read their story.

Second book of the series and I’m glad at-least it had dual pov and I think Evelyn , she was everything your typical influencers aren’t and by that i mean , an amazing person who had such beautiful chemistry with Beckett who was so good , so dreamy it was all hearts and bows . Overall this book is nice and fun read not having any plots and one of the reasons for rating it low was the plot point was that 3rd act breakup and I don’t like that trope much.✨ It’s okay if it takes you some time to find it again. And it’s okay if you find it just to lose a bit of it here and there. That’s the beauty of it, yeah? It comes and goes. Not every day is a happy one and it shouldn’t be. It’s in the trying, I think.✨✨ I know you came back here because you were looking for your happy. But Evie, you gave me mine while you were looking for yours and I think it's only fair if I try to return the favor.✨

This book has a small town vibe where everyone is nice and happy and meddling in the MCs love life. They even have a phone chain where they share the updates. It's so cute and I wanna live there. So coming to the MCs, Beckett, our amazing farmer can't look past Evie since their two nights stand some time ago. He is so Luke from Gilmore girls but make him more hot!!Evie, our famous influencer isn't loving her job like she did once and is reevaluating everything and wanna take a break. Lovelight farms came to her mind. So she is back in town and is living in Beckett's cabin with multiple rooms(hmmmm) and there are cats and duckling involved. The angst is back. Beckett is so in love with Evie. I loved him since the beginning and he is everything a romance hero is and more. Every time he asked her if she had found her happy, my heart couldn't take it. The romance, all those cute gestures and the small miscommunication in the end, everything was perfect. It had me smiling like an idiot. This book with its open door romance is super sweet and cute and steamy and I look forward to reading the other 2.

I thought that BK couldn’t get better than Lovelight Farms and it was my mistake. This book is perfect, literally flawless!!! I love it A LOT. I spend 80% of my time talking about Evie and Beck and the other 20% I hope someone will talk about it with me so I can chat about it a little more…. if you’re reading this review please take your time to read this amazing book!!!

I adore the Lovelight Farms Series by BK Borison and have read book one and three so far and finally got around to reading In The Weeds. Evelyn and Beckett’s story is beyond sweet and wholesome. These two meet one day in a bar and they have amazing chemistry and spend a few nights together. The story started off very spicy and I liked how they were just in the now and enjoying their time with each other. Beckett is a farmer at Lovelight Farms, and he rather keeps to himself. He is such a sweet man who also loves animals and has adopted four kittens and a duck, and I melted away with all these cute scenes. I also liked seeing his interactions with his family. Evelyn is a social media influencer, and she has basically turned into a workaholic. For a competition she is visiting Lovelight Farms and that’s how she meets Beckett again. But she isn’t really happy anymore and while she gets amazing opportunities, she needs to go back to the roots and take a break. I loved how she was looking for her own happiness and how Beckett supported her with it. The romance is just so pure and cute, and I absolutely loved Evelyn and Beckett. From them living together in Beckett‘s house, to the animal scenes and to Evelyn helping the others in the small town, this story felt like a big hug. It was a perfect addition to this series and made me fall in love even more with this world.4,5 stars.

J'avais eu un énorme coup de coeur pour le 1er tome et j'avais autant hâte de retourner à Inglewild que de découvrir davantage le discret Beckett ...J'ai encore passé de délicieuses heures de lecture en compagnie de Beckett et Evie, l'autrice a une plume tellement douce et poétique, on a une vraie sensation de cocooning en nous plongeant dans cette ambiance très boho.La nature occupe une place centrale dans ce roman, Beckett étant un amoureux des plantes, des fleurs et des animaux. Alors même si B.K Borison serait recalée lors de la soirée trivia "botanique" au bar du coin en raison de ses petits problèmes de calendrier concernant la floraison de certaines espèces, j'ai adoré cette ambiance florale, ça donne un côté champêtre et romantique tout à fait charmant.La romance est à ranger dans la catégorie slow burn, c'est doux, lent, alors même qu'ils ont déjà passé ensemble un weekend torride plusieurs mois en arrière. J’ai beaucoup aimé les voir se côtoyer au quotidien, se rapprocher tout en douceur et en discrétion.Beckett est un homme prudent, il garde tout pour lui, se plie en douze pour les autres tout en s'oubliant au passage. Une femme aussi solaire, charismatique et sociale qu'Evelyn est forcément (dans sa tête) en décalage avec l'homme discret, taciturne et sauvage qu'il est, et leur relation est forcément vouée à l’échec.Et pourtant ... Pourtant cela fonctionne très bien entre eux car Evelyn est bien plus qu'une célébrité d'Instagram. Elle en est à un moment de sa vie où elle a besoin de faire une pause, de faire le point sur sa vie, ses envies et éventuellement réorienter sa carrière en se concentrant sur ce qui pour elle est l’essentiel : mettre en valeur des petits commerces et des personnes qui ont une histoire à raconter.Certaines petites attentions de Beckett m’ont fait fondre (mention spéciale au chapitre 10), j’ai aimé le regard attentif et bienveillant qu’il pose sur Evie, cette importance pour lui que celle-ci trouve chaque jour une chose qui lui apporte du bonheur. Puis bon, on ne va pas se mentir, les mentions de Beckett avec ses chatons qui lui grimpent dessus, sans compter le caneton (hélas bien trop peu présent dans le roman), sa passion pour les fleurs et les étoiles, sa gentillesse, sa délicatesse et son soutien constant envers les autres, forcément, ça fait chavirer les cœurs …S’il fallait encore vous convaincre de vous mettre à cette série, je pourrais aussi vous parler de cette ambiance de petite ville, avec ses réunions clairement inspirées de celles de Star Hollows, le casting de personnages secondaires impeccable, le discours du père et de Luka à un moment donné, qui m’ont mis les larmes aux yeux (oui on aime les hommes qui montrent leur sensibilité !), la belle amitié qui lit les personnages de cette série, la petite ménagerie de Beckett, sa maison toute droit sortie d’un tableau Pinterest, la gentillesse et la douceur d’Evie, sa façon d’aider les autres, de se fondre avec tant d’aisance dans cette vie beaucoup plus calme et simple que ce qu’elle a connu jusqu’ici …Cette série est vraiment une très belle découverte, l’autrice a une plume qui me fait fondre, et je réjouis de savoir qu’il me reste encore 2 tomes à passer à Inglewild ! ♥

Like I wanted to be consumed by this book and I wouldn’t mind one bit, I wouldn’t even try to escape.Beckett and Evelyn were the cutest couple. Their connection was off the charts and don’t even get me started on the sexual tension between them. One minute I was cackling and the next blushing! I loved how they could understandone another without words but at the same time they need words or actions for reassurance.And the “Did you find your happy today?” scenes slapped every single time. I don’t think there was a chapter I didn’t like, except well that one towards the end where the miscommunication, as Josie kindly told them, happened.Overall, it was a fantastic book that you should 100% add to your TBR!

It'll leave you swooning for weeks.I think I've found a new favourite book and a new favourite author!What you can expect:- Small town romance- Opposites attract- Second chance romance- Forced proximity- Mental health rep- Amazing cast of charactersBeckett's gente nature and kindness were very endearing and Evie's journey and struggles to find joy and happiness again, both in her job and in her life, were extremely relatable.Watching them fall in love with each other honestly felt like a warm hug. They were both caring, attentive and respectful of the other's needs and struggles. Theirs was the most wholesome, honest, real and tender love I think I've ever read about.The chemistry between Evie and Beckett was through the roof. Don't let the adorable illustrated cover fool you, there's plenty of spice to be enjoyed. You'll be blushing and fanning yourself more frequently than you think.B.K. Borison's writing is exquisite: romantic, atmospheric and extremely evocative in its simplicity. I found myself re-reading and underlying phrases, paragraphs and passages that resonated with me and/or just simply sounded beautiful. I finished the book in just a couple of days and left me with a book-hangover. Do yourself a favour and add this to your TBR if you haven't already and prepare yourself to be swooned.
