This was purchased for me when I was looking for an incense holder that would safely hold Shoyeido incense sticks (which do not have a "wooden stick", they are pure compressed incense, like a cone, but in a very slender stick and it can be hard to find holders that fit them neatly) and I adore foxes (and kitsch!) after I unfortunately lost most of my other “slender stick” burners/holders in a recent move. This holder arrived quickly, well and securely packaged (although the packaging shows only the frog themed burner this maker puts out--the correct fox burner was inside however). Shoyeido incense sticks fit neatly in both the "mouth" and "hand" options. I'm sure it would also hold incense that comes on a wooden stick, which was the kind included with the burner (and which I have not tried; it smelled a bit on the soapy side of sandalwood to me and I didn’t ask for the holder because I cared if it included incense or not). The ashes did catch on the body of the fox as the Shoyeido stick I tried in it burned (Shoyeido and similar compressed sticks don’t leave a “wood stick” sort of debris, just pale gray ashes, so I can’t say whether it would catch that kind well). It is ceramic, so I brushed the ash off carefully with a soft cloth after burning. Very happy with it!

Holds two sticks of incense, not cone incense , fox is well made and can go in the dishwasher . Dry well before reusing .

I collect incense burners and this one is a dazzle! Set up so as it's not easily broken Leaves a pleasent smell lingering while you watch the beautiful "BACK FLOW" of this.

Bought for my mom and she loved it. She uses sticks of various brands and they all work with this stand. she also found the cones very entertaining having never used them before and they do fill up the boat in a fun little effect.

It's OK. The frog is cute, the boat does fill with smoke, which is cool. But there are some design flaws that knock stars off the rating.The fishing pole hole that the frog holds does not angle up enough. If you put a full length stick in it will extend beyond the end of the boat, so the first bit of ash ends up on your table. The mouth hole is worse. The little sticks that come with it stay, but they're so narrow they both just sort of hang down at half mast.As for the dangerous part, the backdraft holder is just a flat platform with a hole in it. It doesn't have a lip that keeps the cone in place, so the cone can very easily fall off the platform while still burning. Maybe a fire, maybe a scorch mark on your coffee table, maybe it's fine, but I definitely suggest keeping this away from anything flammable or easy to damage. The slightest tap will flip the cone over. The first time I blew out a stick of incense while the cone was in place the cone tumbled, as well.Speaking of the incense, if you order this get your own up front. The stuff that comes with these is... well, I can't quite place the flavor. The aroma is something of a combination of smoldering brush, burnt matches, and a hint of garbage. They don't burn but a few minutes, though, so there's a blessing. Otherwise your house will smell like a grass fire down by the dump.So, if you have your own incense and a glass top coffee table, I say go for it. The little guy is cute. Just be wary.

Arrived as described.A cool, relaxed, laid back frog puffing on a incense stick.Makes me smile every time I look at it.

Man, i love frogs, they are so cool and this is a perfect addition to my home.It arrived so quickly, it was packaged well and its looks just as good as the picture.He sits there's, looking chill, smoking away, the only downfall is the scent that came with this, is rather overpowering and not ideally for me, so i did buy inscents separately from this purchase too.

Long-lasting. After 1 month use, there is no burn. I use both incense and cone. The holder stay as new.
