BODEGA 12 Volt Car Refrigerator, 59 QT Dual Zone Portable Fridge Freezer

I’m a truck driver and this fridge/freezer has been a game changer for me. It cools down quickly, but just don’t overpack so the air can circulate between items. The dual-zone design is incredibly convenient — I freeze my meal-prepped dinners in one side and keep my lunch meat, condiments, and drinks chilled in the other. Each zone can be set independently as a fridge or freezer, so I have complete control over the temperatures instead of being stuck with a preset.It runs very quietly, and I hardly notice it when I’m sleeping. The battery saver function is excellent too, shutting off automatically to prevent draining the battery — and in my semi it pairs perfectly since my truck recharges itself if needed.I bought the 48-quart size and it easily fits all my weekly food, helping me eat healthier and save money on the road. The build is solid, and the wheels and handle make it easy to move around when I need to.For anyone who meal preps, travels, or just wants a reliable, versatile fridge/freezer on the go, this is absolutely worth it.

I bought this cooler for a long 28 hrs trip and plugged into the truck it hold the set up tempeture 20 degrees all the way then we went camping and plugged it into a small generator and it did a great job holding temperature again. I recomend this cooler if you need to keep your drinks and food cold as it should. I'm not disappointed. I Love my new cooler. Bodega 121 quart

So far the unit works as advertised. It cools from the high 70’s low 80’s to 25f in about an hour an ac power.If it holds, I would recommend it. Time will tell

Bought for those times when lodgings don't have a fridge, don't have one as they advertised, or we show up and their fridge doesn't have a freezer compartment, or it doesn't work, and there's no working ice machine.This freezer is heavy-ish, so my bad shoulder complains as I load it into / remove it from the SUV. And that's without contents. But, it's a refrigerator / freezer, so the weight is to be expected. And, it's not far off from a Yeti.The baskets are handy for quickly removing / adding content so I can load / remove the freezer empty; however, basket corners could be a bit better, as water bottles can fall through where the wiring is spaced wider than at the sides. Some attention to loading required to prevent chasing water bottles across the parking area.Versatile; I like that either compartment can be cooler / freezer. The app labels each side left / right; that can be confusing if you flip the lid around. Would have been less confusing to this user to label the compartments small / large. The app is much easier to use than the control panel. I use 4 deg F for my freezer setting, and 35 deg F for my cooler setting.The freezer cools in 15 minutes of so. But, that doesn't mean the freezer / cooler contents are cool / cold yet. It takes several hours to freeze / refreeze my water bottles, which I then use as ice in in unpowered coolers. Same for cold packs. When power is removed from this cooler it warms up above safe food temps relatively quick, in just a couple of hours; it's not a Yeti.The lid changes direction pretty easy; convenient when I move it to a different place in the SUV. Keeping the vents clear to prevent a compressor overheat requires a little forethought; can't just pile luggage or other bags against those areas.The telescoping handle, in it's retracted position, protrudes a bit farther than needed, can limit vehicle placement in some instances. The handle does telescope very easily, and is good and sturdy.Wheels work well on pavement and turf. I haven't used it in sand, but wheel width & diameter suggest it could be a small struggle in sand.I bought 2 Euhomy Car Refrigerator, Refrigerator battery with 12/24V DC and 120-240V AC, Freezer Fridge Cooler, for Car, RV, Camping and Home Use to use with this freezer. Those batteries charge and work with the freezer, with quirks. The first quirk is that external power is required to get the freezer on, then the charged battery takes over after the external power is disconnected; I can't just stick in a charged battery and expect the freezer to power on like it does from a corded power source. The second quirk is that the battery cut-off voltage has to be set in the freezer app; if I forget and leave the cut-off setting on the higher value (for car batteries), the freezer and battery combo cuts off after just a couple of hours. Some user attention is required to ensure the cut-off voltage is set in the app to match the battery source, and get a longer cooling period.So, use it, but don't forget it.I also stuck on some reflective tape, for those times I might be wheeling the dark blue freezer across a parking lot after sunset. Had to use double-sided tape, as the stock adhesive-backingnreflective tape wouldn't stay stuck to this freezer plastic on it's own.

It is an amazing cooler! I have two electric coolers. This is my biggest one. I will say it gets heavy if full to pick up and put in the car by yourself.But other than that, an amazing cooler to have when you are supplying ice cream socials for local school teachers! It keeps the ice cream, nice and frozen without the paper getting soggy like other coolers with ice.

Update: New battery only lasted two months. Bodegasaid it will not replace the battery even though it is supposed to have a two year warranty, per their website. The customer service has been awful. I highly recommend you avoid this company, there are better options out there.We purchased this cooler to take to softball tournaments with our daughter. The unit worked well while plugged in even though the instructions on how to operate it was poor, but we eventually figured it out. We purchased a battery pack to go along with the cooler and it never worked properly. It would cool for an hour or two and then give us an F1 error and not work. We contacted customer support MANY times and went through all of their trouble shooting suggestions, but nothing worked. The battery just would not cool the unit for more than an hour or two. We requested to return the battery and get a replacement, but that is when customer service ghosted us after several attempts. This item is a good idea and it is what we are looking for, but I would highly suggest going to another manufacturer as Bodega does not support it's products.Update: Bodega reached out to us after the review and finally replaced the battery which has fixed the issue with the cooler. It now cools for a good 6 hours plus with no issues in our Texas heat. Thank you to Bodega for responding and backing us your products.

Very good for traveling we travel a lot and it has been the best thing we had bought for traveling. It’s a perfect cooler freezer combination.

I’ve been using this 80QT BODEGACOOLER on weekend drives and it’s been pretty reliable. The dual-zone setup is convenient—I keep drinks on one side and frozen snacks on the other, and both hold temperature well even after long hours. The app control is handy when I’m in the driver’s seat and don’t want to reach back.The wheels and retractable handle make it easier to move than I expected, though it does feel a bit heavy when fully loaded. One small drawback is that the lid needs a firm press to close properly.Overall, a practical fridge/freezer for road trips and home backup use. Quiet, efficient, and gets the job done without much hassle.

Leider ist der Kompressor nach einer laufleistung von knapp 12 Stunden so laut geworden dass man sich kaum unterhalten kann. Die Kühlleistung ist gut aber die Geräuschkulisse ist furchtbar. Das verbinden der Kühlbox mit der App ist total unterirdisch man muss das ganze übers eigene WLAN mit dem vorhandenen WLAN irgendwie kombinieren nach gefühlten 5 bis 6 Stunden Versuch meine App mit der Kühlbox zu verbinden habe ich klein beigegeben. Die größte Frechheit ist dass wenn ich die Ware zurückschicken will dass nur auf meine eigene Kosten machen muss die Rückerstattung der Frachtkosten von 3,50 € ist lächerlich. Und vom Kundenservice wollen wir erst gar nicht sprechen.

After more than a year of usage our cooler has become an amazing addition to our camping and everyday lifestyle.We are absolutely disappointed about battery availability and prices as in Canada it’s impossible to obtain the correct battery at a reasonable price.The cooler itself is amazing and although prone to button bumping the app allows you to lock controls from your Bluetooth connection.We have learned some tricks, precool on AC power before trip. Always ensure cooler vents have access to fresh air, ie:not blocked with gear or luggage. Also putting in pre frozen food helps when using freezer but it will freeze if you want it to.We often travel with it plugged into 12v in our vehicle and ensure your 12v outlet always has power when key is off.If using as fridge and freezer in different compartments don’t make freezer too cold. -9c is enough if precooled. If you go -18c you may freeze the fridge side. 1-3c is good temp for fridge.This cooler is indispensable and ultimately gives us freedom and ability to have beautiful fresh food even extending our camping trips beyond two weeks!

Die Kühlbox von Bodega kam sicher verpackt bei mir Zuhause an. Mein erster Eindruck von der Kühlbox war sehr positiv, da sie sich hochwertig und robust anfühlt. Der Kunststoff wirkt nicht billig und auch die restlichen Elemente der Kühlbox sind ordentlich verarbeitet. Sie lässt sich einfach schließen und sie öffnet sich auch nicht einfach von alleine. Leer wiegt die Kühlbox auch nicht so viel, was den Transport auch um einiges leichter macht.Die Rollen an der Kühlbox machen einen soliden Job und sie haken auch nie. Auf dem Gehweg und auch auf der Wiese lässt sich die Kühlbox einwandfrei hinter mir herziehen. Besonders wenn sie sehr voll ist, wiegt sie schon so einiges, weshalb das fahren deutlich besser ist als das Tragen. Im Prinzip lässt sich die Kühlbox wie ein Koffer fahren und der Griff lässt sich auch weit genug ausziehen, so dass ich ihn angenehm halten kann.Bedienen lässt sich die Kühlbox sehr einfach. An der Seite kann ich schnell und unkompliziert die Temperatur in beiden Fächern ändern, jedoch nutze ich meistens die App zum Ändern der Temperatur, da das einfach nochmal angenehmer funktioniert. Die App war schnell eingerichtet und das Verbinden mit der Kühlbox hat auch wunderbar geklappt. Sie ist übersichtlich gestaltet und ich habe mich schnell zurechtgefunden, weshalb das Bedienen dann auch kein Problem mehr war.Über die Größe der Kühlbox kann ich mich definitiv nicht beschweren. Mit einem Volumen von 35 Litern ist sie deutlich größer als unsere alte “einfache” Kühltruhe und man merkt das bei der Nutzung auch sehr deutlich. Es passen viel mehr Getränke und Lebensmittel hinein und besonders gut gefällt mir, dass es zwei Fächer gibt. So kann ich das eine Fach als Gefrierfach und das andere als Kühlfach nutzen. Ich habe auch mal gemessen, ob die Temperatur sich in einem Fach senkt, wenn das andere Fach deutlich kälter ist und tatsächlich ändert sich nichts, was natürlich sehr gut ist. Die Temperatur bleibt auch immer so wie ich sie eingestellt habe und sie steigt nicht plötzlich an.Das in der Kühlbox enthaltene Schneidebrett ist ganz nett und den USB-Port finde ich ganz praktisch.Bei solchen Geräten ist auch immer wie wichtig wie sie mit Strom versorgt werden können und die Kühlbox bietet hier genug Möglichkeiten, so dass ich sie immer einsetzen kann. Meistens wird sie per Stromkabel bei uns Zuhause mit Energie versorgt, jedoch klappt auch das Laden per Zigarettenanzünder sehr gut. Es gab dabei keine Probleme und besonders wenn man unterwegs ist, ist diese Möglichkeit die Kühlbox zu laden Goldwert.Fazit:Ich bin mit der Kühlbox sehr zufrieden. Sie bietet großen Stauraum und die zwei separaten Fächer sind sehr praktisch. Über die Qualität kann ich auch nicht meckern und auch die Kühlung funktioniert einwandfrei. Die Steuerung per Handy ist sehr angenehm und Probleme sind bei der Kühlbox bisher auch nicht aufgetreten.Ich kann sie daher weiterempfehlen.
