It's because it's more of an oil based soap. It isn't supposed to get bubbles or suds. It isn't meant to cut grease like a dish soap, or hand soap. It's made for leather, so it's meant to clean it and keep it soft. No bubbles. **Q: Can this product be used on snakeskin cowboy boots?** A: We haven't tried using our Saddle Soap on snakeskin. I think it should be fine, but my only concern is that some of the soap might potentially accumulate between the scales. It's a gentle cleanser that shouldn't harm the scales, but I would definitely recommend tring it out on a small, discrete area to see how well it works before applying to the entire boot. **Q: Can this be used on used on a leather strap of a watch?** A: I'm not sure, I used this in high end leather boots. Worked well and was very happy with it. If it's real leather not sure why it wouldn't work. **Q: Can I use this on a suede leather couch?** A: No. I actually Googled your question, and came up with the below method to clean suede. I don't know if it will work, but I would try it before using the saddle soap. Saddle soap is for leather, not suede. Cleaning SuedeYou'll need the following:A bath towelA pencil eraserA suede brushWhite vinegarA dry clothFirst, rub the suede with a bath towel. Then, remove any dry stains with a pencil eraser. Next, brush over the suede with a suede brush. After that, apply a small bit of white vinegar to the stains and use the cloth to scrub the stains away.
