These are a great price for what you get. Way more expensive at the local hardware stores. Easy to install with all the screws you need. Very sturdy and gives you that added security. Fit exactly as needed.

This cane bolt is really well built and heavy duty. I used it to keep a small garden gate closed tightly against an arbor. It has performed beautifully. It looks so nice and really adds charm to the gate. (note: there are no installation instructions included)Things to know:1. Make sure to measure how deeply you want the bottom of the cane to go into the ground. We cut a small piece of ABS pipe and sunk it into the soil (to ground level) to add stability and keep the bolt in place in case of strong winds.2. Level and plumb the bracket hardware or your bolt will be crooked. Don't be tempted to eyeball it. Then mark the screw holes with a thin sharpie marker. Pre drill the holes to avoid cracking the wood.3. Make sure that the screws, that come with the latch, will not poke through the wood to the other side of your gate frame. Our gate was barely thick enough to accommodate the screws.4. I like this model, because it allows you to place the bolt cane as high or low as you need it. Other models have "notches" on the cane that restrict movement.I would not hesitate to purchase this product again. It was easy to install and looks so nice.

well made and sturdy, although if the bottom of your gate is more than 2" off the ground, it may not work based on where the nubs are on the rod.

This worked exactly how we needed it to. Well made, good qualit latches easily. Looks nice, matches the fence well. Was very easy to install and a good price point compared to big box stores. Functions well. I don’t see us ever having an issue with this.

Works just as described. We set a few copper tubes in the gravel to drop the pin into to secure the bottom when closed (for windy days) and to prop it open when we have projects or visitors. So easy to use, perfect size. Came with all the pieces. Seems good quality and haven't had any issues with rusting in wet Oregon.

I know mine are not one hundred percent correctly installed. But don't worry.About that they work amazing. I had avery large gap between the lowest mountain spot and the concrete and it still worked. I should have done this at my house fifteen years ago. Start with your lowest bracket, then the middle, then you're hanger.
