I bought this as a second charger, it works beautifully and it charges fast, recommended.

Bought to replace the Apple charger that had failed and unrepairable!Works well- highly recommend.

The item worked fine initially. After a couple of months one day it suddenly started smelling of smoke, got so hot melted the plastic and then stopped working. Luckily I was there to switch it off. This device is unsafe, if you buy do not leave it on charge unattended as there is a real risk of starting a fire. Avoid and do not buy.

My Apple charger cable was on the 'last threads' at the connector to the Macbook port.This generic appears well made and I did not want to chance the higher input Watts so purchased the 45w version which is probably kinder to the internal battery.Works a treat and the charger unit is less warm than the original Apple charger. Happy Days!

Was dubious about this purchase but it works and charges my MacBook Pro and for the prise highly recommended

Well it worked fine for almost three months and then fell apart.Obviously one should be able to get a refund or replacement for such a thing.. But no! Amazon says contact the seller. The seller uses an Amazon chatbot that says contact Amazon. Argh!So how prevalent is this problem? Well now I look at the comments I see about 10-15% of of them report the thing breaking instantly or after a few months.For twenty odd quid I am not sure I am willing to go through the pain of actually forcing Amazon to refund this. However mighty disgruntled am I.Learn from my experience - get a different one.
