Anne of Green Gables: A Graphic Novel

Our daughter loves reading. Which is great. But recently she was pointed to graphic novels, when a teacher shared her passion for them with the class. And apparently Anne of Green Gables is a classic grape novel version fo the actual story. I had never heard of it, even though I’ve always been quite a fan of literature and comic books. So its quite a good lead for me as well as the original book and this graphic verse is meant for both adults and young reader alike.I suppose this soft cover graphic variant of the original story reflects the essence of the original story very well. Based on the many raving reviews. I haven’t read it yet. But I must say that the art style, although not super detailed is quite impressive and appropriate. And the colouring in particular sets a certain fairytale-like atmosphere. The combination borders an impressionist style which pretty well reflects the era in which the original book is set. Our daughter will get is as a gift and will adore it. But there is good chance both me and my wife will appreciate this charming book as well.

Absolutely marvellous book for girls who love Anne of Green gables! My 9 year old loves it! Wish there were more books like this!

My 9 yr old granddaughter discovered Anne of Green Gables on TV, just before Christmas. I bought her this to keep her hands off her mother's treasured childhood copy. She loves it!

Lovely story and illustrations

As an introduction to a great read , a six year old found this enthralling from beginning to end . The graphics supported the story which hopefully will appeal in its full version one day .

4☆ A beautifully illustrated Graphic novelThis was a little hard reading this novel on my kindle hence the 4☆ rating.However it was beautifully illustrated and easy to read. The perfect read for adults and children.I was swept away with the classic charming story of Anne of Green Gables which i remember when i was a child and loved so dearly.It was a whimsical wonderland, Anne's wonderland. Anne is a really special little girl who touches the hearts of everyone she meets.There is an air of magic about Anne of Green Gables and it's like the illustrations just come to life.I Would definetly reccomend this beautifully charming Graphic novel,  but maybe for use on a tablet and not kindle.The perfect read for young and old.So snuggle up and read together and get lost in the Magical adventures of Anne of Green Gables.Thank you to Netgalley for this copy which I have reviewed honestly and voluntarily.

This is a wonderful introduction to a classic story, perfect for children who can't quite handle the whole text yet. It manages to keep all the important part of the stories while slimming it down to the basics, but never feels thin or empty. The art style is lovely, clear without being too busy. This is a gorgeous book that would make a lovely present. I'll be looking forward to seeing it in person.I received an ARC which did not affect my review in any way.

I enjoyed this audiobook about the life of Anne of Green Gables and how she interacted with her new family and friends. It was a light read which was short and it was therefore easy to listen to. I really liked the voices of each character and how they were portrayed.
