What is in these things ?!?! Just kidding, it’s ONE INGREDIENT - CHICKEN! My cat, Misfit, is a happy 14 year old tabby cat. She’s just a “regular” tabby, but she is very special to me for so many reasons. She’s has always been a larger cat with a little extra weight, but I love her so much. Because I love her dearly, I care a lot about what I feed her and taking good care of her. Especially as we both get older. I’m always looking for ways to make her extra happy and I ordered these chicken treats on a whim. I wasn’t sure if Misfit would like them.. she’s a big girl but she can be picky sometimes. Well, she loves these. They are freeze dried but they are not too hard or crunchy for her. I also don’t worry at all about Misfit gaining any extra weight, because there’s no extra ingredients! She gets a couple of them and starts going CRAZY purring and cuddling with me. She loves these, and I love my cat! Well I’m not going to taste these for you, but since my cat love’s them, I’d assume they taste pretty good. Smells like a freeze dried chicken breast, no doubt there. They are fresh in a sealed, safe bag. They are crunchy but soft as they break up and come in various sizes in the bag, some regular sized and some little pieces/crumbs. I only give her a few and they do encourage her to drink some water since they are DRY, but this is good and cats always need to drink more water. So, in my opinion, they somewhat encourage hydration. If you love your cat, BUY THESE. And if you regret it, your cat is just being picky and you should get a different flavor. Misfit likes CHICKEN! These are awesome and I would 100% recommend and would buy again.

Love these chicken bites. My cat loves them. I like that they are very simple ingredients and I always know what’s in them. Doesn’t have to be complicated. I like that they are easy to chew as well.

This is one of the best chicken breast treats I’ve found for kittens. What I really love about this treat is that it’s suitable for cats of all ages, even younger kittens or cats with smaller teeth. My female kitten has a smaller mouth and can be picky with harder treats, but she absolutely loves this one. The moment I even shake the bag, she starts purring and comes running immediately. The quality has also been consistently great. Every bag I’ve purchased has looked fresh and been in good condition, which gives me a lot of confidence in repurchasing. My only downside is that it crumbles pretty easily. Even with a brand-new bag, I’d say about a quarter of it ends up as small crumbs or broken pieces. Personally, I don’t let that go to waste—I sprinkle the crumbs over my kittens’ wet food as a topper, and they love it that way too. Overall, despite the crumbling, this is still one of my go-to treats because of how much my cats enjoy it and how easy it is for kittens to eat.

I love healthy treats. I look for single or minimal ingredients. These are single ingredient. Quality is consistent with every bag. My cats enjoy them, they don’t go crazy over them or get super excited when they come out but they do eat them like 70% of the time. They’re also good to add to food with water and rehydrate well. I feed them dry as a treat or sometimes I add it into their food with warm water. I take care of about 7 cats, they all feel about the same about them. They like them, they enjoy them, they don’t go crazy over them or get excited for them. I love that they’re healthy and consistent.

All my cats love this stuff. We used another brand for years, but they changed their formula and my crew wasn’t impressed. My cats now have this as their treat. My indoor cats and my feral cats all love this. Consider it “kitty crack. If I had any complaints it would be that I end up with a lot of crumbs in the bag.

My cat loves these. I used them as a training treat. The quality of the food is good, but difficult to ascertain since it is freeze dried chicken. The bags contain the chicken smell pretty good. What I don't like is a lot of the chicken becomes powdered chicken in transit or maybe they ship it that way, so I cant use it as a treat but instead I sprinkly the powdered bits into my cat's wet food as a topper. Overall will continue buying these since my cat loves it. Value for money is okay, you're paying about $10 for chicken which you could use to buy fresh chicken but this is just convenient enough.

My Bengal-mix kitty has never been a huge treat fan, she'll eat Greenies, but sometimes ignores them and turns her nose up at most wet foods regardless of quality, flavor or type. Only treats she really likes are Churu or Catit squeeze pouches, which aren't something I want her to overindulge in too much. So I recently decided to try a few different Vital Essentials treat bags for my super finicky cat (also didn't want to buy treats that were loaded or processed with fillers and junk). She had no idea what to do with the fish minnows, she'd rather play with them, the plain freeze-dried chicken chunks were edible but nothing sensational and didn't spark any cravings, also seemed too dry and sharp like shards. But these chickens hearts ... WINNER WINNER chicken dinner !! She actually comes running for these (pic: yeah she's on the counter, it's safe and clean). Initially tried the smaller kitty sized bag because they're a bit spendy $$, thankfully the hearts are pretty large so I'm able to cut one into about 6 smaller pieces. I also recently picked up a new kitten, he loves the minnows so they won't go to waste, and of course he loves the chicken hearts too, like a Gremlin. Excellent tasty treats. Update - It's been a couple months and we've moved on to the bigger dog sized bag, bit of a better deal for the same tasty treats. The chicken hearts are a treat obsession for both kitties !! Might check out some other brands too now that I know my kitties love these and that they're pretty healthy with the whole natural organ meat thing. I have to keep these locked away, pretty sure they'd eat them all the time if they could.
