I don’t know what ancient German spellbook KOCHCHEMIE pulled this formula from, but this stuff *obliterates* rust like it owes it money. One spray and the corrosion practically packs its bags and leaves in shame. The chemical reaction happens fairly quickly, pretty cool to watch. Let’s address the the smell. It smells like hot pennies mixed with expired pickles and sadness. You’ll question your life choices for a moment... but then you’ll see the rust vanish before your eyes, and all is forgiven. Worth the money, I wish there was more for the money but still would consider it decent value for the performance. Bottom line: it’s like a spa day for your metal parts. Absolutely worth the stank

This is absolutely awesome for removing built up brake dust, dirt, & surface rust. We wetted the suspension (normal water) on this c8 and then sprayed RRR on and let sit for about 3-5min. Irritated it with a brush and hosed it off and comes out spotless. The smell takes some getting used to but besides that we love everything about it. Will definitely be using this in the future.

I bought as a goof but actually works well. It removes surface rust even if it is a little thick. Happy with the results

I picked up the Koch-Chemie Reactive Rust Remover to deal with some light surface rust and orange staining on my wheels and a few body panels. It definitely works — you can see it reacting almost right away, turning that purple color as it dissolves the contamination. After a few minutes and a good rinse, the surfaces looked noticeably cleaner and smoother. That said, the smell is pretty strong — not unbearable, but definitely not pleasant. I’d recommend using it outside or in a well-ventilated area. It’s not something you want to breathe in for long. For light rust or brake dust buildup, it does a solid job, but for heavier corrosion or neglected areas, it might not justify the price. You’d likely need to use quite a bit of product or step up to something more aggressive. Pros: Clearly reacts and removes light rust / fallout effectively Safe on painted and metal surfaces when used properly Easy to rinse off Cons: Strong, unpleasant smell Not ideal for heavy or deep rust Pricey for larger jobs Overall, it’s a good, professional-grade product that delivers on what it claims, but it’s best suited for maintenance or lighter rust removal rather than restoration-level work.

Chemicals should smell bad if they are any good. This stuff doesn’t smell great but it works exactly as promised. What an amazing product. I will order more products from this brand.

Over the summer I went all out fixing my 2014 VW GLI and repairing/repainting rusted quarter panels. This stuff works great removing surface rust and it turns purple and runs off. I also used it on panels that had not rusted through the point where there were just fleks of rust and it removed them. It smells horrific but it does the job. If you have thick rust I through the pint it isn’tgonna remove it but it will remove rust stains on top on the pint or where it ran down the pint.

The product worked very well in removing oxidization spots on my white car. However, I won't use it again due to the very bad smell and the toxic foam all over my driveway that results when spraying it off the car. I'm sure it has left residue that will take time to wash away. Unfortunately, I read the Safety Data Sheet after using the product. UPDATE: 3 days later I can still smell this on my car and in my yard. Do not recommend.

Good naturalized a rust. It's not cleaning all way to metal, but requires little scrab to get in to metal.
