Dongiò Caffè Espresso Napoli - 50 Easy Serving Espresso Pods (ESE 44mm) - Dark Roast Coffee (Intensity 9/10) - Roasted and Blended In Italy

These decaf pods are excellent. We've purchased several different brands of decaf ESE pods over the years for our Francis Francis X1 machine and these by Dongio definitely hit the mark.The pods arrived in great condition, the box included the exact amount as stated in the description (50). I say this because sometimes when it comes to ESE pods, some sellers will often ship more pods than the # stated in the description.These Dongio decaf pods produce a very intensely flavor decaffeinated espresso. The roast level is dark and excellent - without being too burnt (as some DEK espressos can be) and the pods produce a beautiful, dark shot of coffee with a very dense, deep cocoa-colored crema. Shot pulls of greater volume (4 ounce pulls) produce a pleasant and enjoyable decaf "long-black".I would definitely buy these again. Comparatively, these decaf ESE espresso pods by Dongio has forced us to re-shuffle our favorites and would now rank in our top 2 favorites for decaf ESE espresso pods.

Had to come back and rewrite my review - I had previously said it was weak flavored but it turns out I had the wrong adapter on my grouphead. It was good once I realized my mistake!

My machine will do 19 bar and that may be a tad shy for these pods. I get about half a serving as compared to some others. The coffee isn’t bad at all. Probably won’t buy them again. I have better luck with the illy 44mm pods.

Coffee pod stays dry and does not make for a tasteful coffee.More like a watery drip. I purchased a coffee maker that use these and returned the machine thinking it was defective. Purchased a different model and same results. I contacted Amazon and was advised that this seller does not accept returns or replacesdefective batches. Do not recommend.

This is a very light roast to me but I like a very deep/bold/dark roast. I got this one because the Red was out of stock, which is much more my taste. The brand I like very much. If you like a light roast espresso, this may be a good one for you. I do drink mine black....I love the natural taste of coffee without all the fluff of creams and sugars
