Update 9/6/26: we hate this vacuum. It misses spots literally all the time- and I mean big sections. Yes, it has good suction, but if it isn’t cleaning the whole pool, who cares? It also definitely spews its contents when you take it out- I read that pulling it out upside down helps this but that is a pain and it still spews to some degree. It also gets itself stuck on the tanning ledge of our pool all the time so unless you’re watching it, it’ll just sit there stopped indefinitely. We will be going with another brand when this one bites the dust. Original review: This little dude works its butt off, and for less than pricier models. For starters, it goes backwards and forwards, which our pricier Polaris didn’t do- more efficient. It climbs walls and tile WAY better than the Polaris- our Polaris wouldn’t EVER clean the tanning ledge or seats- this thing does! It’s a climbing and cleaning machine. Only two downsides as I see it and these aren’t deal breakers - it doesn’t run itself to the side to be pulled out- you have to gently drag it to the side. And when you pull it out and are waiting for the water to drain, it does dump a bit of what it collected back into the water- not a ton, but it happens. Again, not a big deal. Overall, we love this cleaner and are very glad we took a chance on it after our second Polaris showed up non-functional. This one costs less and does a great job!

We finally had to replace our previous Dolphin that we inherited with the house. This is fancier than what I intended to buy with the WiFi connectivity, but it was one of the cheaper ones that had a long enough cord for our pool. The difference between in both cleaning power and ease of emptying the bin is stark. It also is more intelligent, climbing walls the get edge cleaning and getting itself un-stuck from hazards in the pool. I can't say I would've replaced my old one sooner if I knew (because these things are expensive!), but I can say I feel pleased with what I got.

Dolphin used to be a great product. My first one lasted 8 years. The second one lasted 3 years. This one lasted 2 months. Since it was under warranty, I filled out a repair and paid the $107.00 to have it shipped. Read the fine print you are responsible for paying to get it shipped. I received it back a week later. The repairman checked that I had kept it clean and there was no blockage or damage. It also said it was fixed good as new. However, it still did not run. This is where it gets frustrating. First I tried calling where you get all lines are busy. I never could get through. Then I tried online support. You will enjoy being annoyed by Phin the AI which will troubleshoot which I didn’t need since it has already been supposedly repaired. Phin said he was sending me to human support but I received AI again giving me directions on how to pay to ship it again to be repaired again. I should not have to pay to ship it again when it wasn’t fixed the first time. I also tried the email on the repair ticket sent back and it was an invalid email. I finally found a support area after dealing with AI for a while giving me a case number. Well we are going on three weeks without a pool cleaner and a week without any response from the company regarding the case number. I am truly disappointed. Customer service is not customer service and I am out $800.00. I am no longer a long time customer!

This is a great robotic cleaner. The only problem I have is that it gets stuck on my main drain. Also it can’t climb my steps. It picks up well & easy to clean.

For the money this pool cleaning robot does a better job than the dolphin I paid double for 5 years ago. Definitely worth it. Cleans great and ez to clean

The reason for only 4 stars is that is doesn’t last long. 4 stars because when it works it’s awesome! #1 purchased March 2017 for 718.97 not including tax. #2 purchased March 2022 for $879.00 not including tax and extended warranty purchase of $114.73 #3 purchased January 2025 $849.99 not including tax. $879.00 was on a gift card from the extended warranty. $740.44 including tax $951.52+$114.73 including tax and extended warranty $920.03 including tax Total spent on all three $2726.72 includes tax and the 1 extended warranty. $2726.72-$879.00 refunded from extended warranty Total out of pocket costs is $1847.72 This is my 3rd purchase of this same robot pool cleaner. The first one stopped working while under warranty. I sent it back, it was repaired and retuned to me. It lasted another 3 years before it stopped working again. It is not cost effective to send in for repairs that I have to pay for and is very heavy so also costly shipping fees. Now no longer under warranty I had to purchase a new one. This time I purchased the extended warranty offered by Amazon. This one my second purchase, lasted only 2 1/2 years before it stopped working just like the first one. I was able to use the money from the warranty I purchased to purchase my third one. I ordered a 3rd one and no longer had the option of purchasing the extended warranty. That is my main concern at this point. If this one gives out after the original warranty expires then I will no longer have any financial recourse. I would expect that a purchase of nearly $900.00 would last longer. . So now I have purchased three of the exact same cleaners in less than 9 years. I will see how long this one lasts. It works fantastic as long as it lasts. I have also recommended to many family members and friends whom have all had similar experiences with the robots they purchased no longer working.

Mine was defective. By the third use, the roller kept coming off. I owned for only 2 weeks and I had to return. Disappointed since I've owned 2 others since 2018.
