Bad software/ firmware. Not great for modding.
Going into buying this keyboard, I knew I was going to have to do a lot of modding, but damn, this keyboard sounded terrible out of the box. Here's my experience.1.While I appreciate prelubed stabilizers, I would of rather they didn't at all because they just GLOBBED ON a bunch of lube all over the stabilizers, PCB, and plate.2. Not sure if it's normal for optical gateron switches, but every single switch came with a very audible pinging noise until I painstakingly lubed every switch..3. The case seems decent, but there's a lot of empty space for noise to travel so I filled it with some sound dampening foam. When the keyboard is together, it doesn't flex if you try to bend it. Taping the back of the PCB with 3 layers of masking tape also helped with the sound.4. Stabilizers rattle like crazy, so I clipped the stems, band-aid modded the stabilizers, wiped off the old lube and relubed them myself. They sound better but they still rattle a bit. There's also this foam under the spacebar on the PCB and I can't tell if it makes any sort of difference.5. The PBT keycaps are actually really nice. They have a nice texture to them, seem decently thick, and the RGB lights shine through pretty solidly.6. The software is garbage. I installed the latest version of it and it just kept disconnecting and reconnecting my mouse until I rebooted and uninstalled the software, so I'm stuck with the presets without software.7. The Gateron Optical Silver switches work really well. They're really nice to type and game on. They only sounded nice after I lubed every switch.I might be forgetting some other things. I spent many, many, many hours working on this keyboard to get it to feel and sound good, and I eventually did. Not a good keyboard for first time modders or if you aren't prepared to take apart and lube every switch. I gave the keyboard 3 stars because it has the potential to be a really good keyboard, but you have to be willing to put in a lot of effort to make it sound and feel good. Be prepared to buy foam, lube, dielectric grease, switch opener (I lubed them without one), a lube brush, masking tape, band-aids (or medical tape) clippers (for the stabilizer stems), etc. If you don't want to DIY, look for another 60% keyboard.
