KS2 English Year 6 SATS Revision Book: Stretch (for the 2026 tests) (CGP SATS Higher)

An excellent book on which to base revision for SATS exams. It contains a mix of reminders as well as questions (with answers at the end of the book). My grand daughter aged 11 found these books good fun and useful. For my part the books reminded me of how much I had forgotten from my own schooldays.

As a parent these are great for working with your children to support their learning. Engaging tasks and not too challenging.

I've always loved CGP guides, having used them myself for my GCSEs all those many years ago... I now use them in my tutoring. They are brilliant at including everything in the curriculum, and no unnecessary extras. They also break down concepts really well in plain English and with humour. The layout is appealing to look at as well. The only reason I haven't given five stars for this one is I don't feel that there are enough examples /questions for all the topics. It would be useful to be able to practise the skills more. Obviously I just use other resources, but felt I couldn't give 5* for this reason. One other minor criticism, as this is aimed at more able kids, could do with maybe including some optional extension - type activities that go beyond the curriculum. But maybe that would take away some of the strength of the book, which is that it is very concise.

Very helpful. Provides the challenge needed for for my gd daughter.

Meiner Ansicht nach gibt es bessere Arbeitsbücher, als das hier Angebotene. Es gibt aber auch noch qualitativ Schlechteres am Markt, daher 3 Sterne (Mittelmaß).
