Those who already have an interest in the area are unlikely to find anything new here as it is a compilation of information drawn from other secondary sources which they are likely to have read before. It appears to be a fair summary but the author seems to have failed to check for inconsistencies that are almost inevitable if simply pulling together infomation from other people's work. For example, there are inconsistencies in the century in which the author says arabic knowledge first appeared in Britian, the different centuries appearing to depend on which previous author he is drawing on at the time. In short, a fair summary for someone new to the area (and it does provide the bibliography so folk can delve into the sources), but those who already have some knowledge of the area will most likely already be familiar with most if not all of those sources.
