Exactly what I needed!
Needed a smaller pass-through for mounting my Skylight calendar to the wall since I wasn't able to use a recessed outlet due to the massive size of the plug. This was a super simple install and love that it acts like an "old work" box with the screws to tighten it to the drywall. Made the install simple and easy!

Neat Cable Entry
This works well to make cables neat coming through wall. Good quality and very versatile for different type of cables. Moderate Installation difficulty; requires a 1-3/4โ hole saw to cut into drywall. Also need access behind wall to route cables if going through floor or ceiling.

Fastest install ever
Needed to run a single HDMI cable behind a wall. This was perfect. Took 30 seconds to install. Just make sure you have the correct size hole saw.

Exactly what I needed!
Was looking everywhere for something like this. Something that I didn't have to cut an entire section out of my wall for one RCA cable. This was super easy to install and looks great!

Perfect for Speaker Wire Pass-Through
The Datacomm 1 3/4โ Hole Saw Plate is perfect for my setup. Iโm using it as a cable pass-through for the speaker wires on my rear channel surround sound speakers, and it works great. The black plate blends in nicely with the wall, and the design makes installation easy and clean. Itโs sturdy, functional, and does exactly what I needed. Highly recommend for home theater setups!

Worked beautifully
This is exactly what I was looking for. It's the smallest pass through wall plate I could find and it was extremely easy to install. It's significantly smaller than a normal wall plate or any other pass through plate or even wall grommet which makes it perfect for hiding behind sound bars and other small electronics. A 1 3/4" hole saw, as specified in the instructions, was the perfect size to install this. If you use the proper size hole saw and still have issues installing it it's because you're doing it wrong. Back off the screws, push them flush to the face plate and then fold the ears in until they're flush with the circular lip on the backside. The wall plate will then slide right in and you'll even have some room to spare. Don't overnighten the screws either. Just snug them up. You only want to stop the wall plate from moving. As for capacity, don't expect more than 3-4 cables to squeeze through it. Hdmi cables in particular will have trouble squeezing through once there are a couple of cables already in there.

These are fantastic.
Makes for a very nice looking pass thru for low voltage stuff like PoE and long USB charge cables for security cameras (my use for them), as well as speakers. I don't think they are flimsy at all despite some reviews' warnings. They're roughly the same build quality of plastic as most wall plates, so just make sure you have the hole drilled as required and that nothing is blocking the metal arms on the other side, like a piece of wood, and then be gentle with it, especially as you're tightening the last few turns on the screws. Just like any old wall plate in that respect. The company seems reliable too. Never heard of em before this plate, but apparently a lot of folks who are into speakers and cabling regard them well. Will definitely be looking at this and more of their products in the future.

Looks good functions not so good.
So it looks nice but the locking mechanism is not functional. I will end up taking it apart and securing it to the wall with a dab of hot glue. The hole is quite small and other than coax or cat 6 cable not alot will pass through the hole.
