The Lens Quality Seems to be Good - But the design of the lens holding clip is completely wrong. The clip should be about 20 mm's longer from where the hole the lenses screw into, until the end of the clip, adding some extra length to the end of the lens clip. Because what happens on my Samsung phone is, the end of the clip is so short it has nothing to really clip onto at the end. So the clip dips down into the void at the end of it, causing the accessory lens sits cockeyed, and not level with the lens on my phone, which causes some distortion. I can and will design a plastic spacer using my laser cutting machine in order to remedy this ridiculous oversight on the part of the engineers who designed this system. But surely I am not the only one who's phone camera has a similar lens configuration, causing this problem with the way the clip causes the accessory lens to not be mounted flush to the camera's lens. So, it is totally mystifying to me as to how such an obvious, but simple to overcome potential problem, has somehow escaped these high powered engineers, who designed such a shoddy, poorly designed lens mounting system is.

I first was very disappointed with this kit and I didn't see much use for it. Most phones these days come with wide angle lenses, and are quite good at taking pictures close up. Only when I took the time to really experiment with the kit I realised how good the macro lens is. You have to remove your phone case to sit the lens right on top of your lens. If I used a phone case as well the magnicification was all messed up, and lot of the reviewers complain that the magnification is not good enough. I also find that you want to put this on top of your tele camera, to get even better magnification. You sacrifice a bit of photo quality and you won't get as much light in, but it's worth to trade off for magnification. For me on my samsung I also need to use full manual mode, as in automatic mode, the camera switches to the wide and ultra wide the closer I get. I uploaded two photos to show what can be achieved with enough patience and time. Even better results can be achieved but amazon won't allow me to use images if I add my watermark to them... Definetly worth getting this kit in my opinion, if for nothing else, just the macro lens.
