Colors the water nicely
I have used this product before as it doesn’t hurt the fish in my ponds, I actually have 2 ponds. I usually put it in the ponds 2 or 3 times a year as it helps control the pond scum. It does change the color of the water to a dark blue. As always prime shipping is the way to go as I know when I place an order that it will be delivered on time.

Gorgeous Color!
We have a small pond (~1/4 acre) and have tried several pond dyes to help combat the algae growth. This color is definitely the best so far. Highly recommend. An even nicer aspect is I can get 4 or 5 treatments from a one gallon container and the price is very reasonable. Just remember a little goes a long way and be patient.

Blue black is a great combination
Blue black mix creates a nice dark blue color that has a reflective quality. I've used aqua color dye and it looked fake. This color gives the pond a more natural feel.

Keeps the algae and pond weeds away
Tried a number of mfg products, this one seems to work the best although it is more $$$. Our 1 acre pond takes initially three and in mid August one more.

If you're expecting pond dye to eliminate growth, you'll be disappointed.
Does a fair job at keeping algae and vegetation in control. If you're expecting pond dye to eliminate growth, you'll be disappointed.

Most Impressive
It effectively darkened the water in my pond. After a few days I can see the plant life diminish.

Nice deep, dark blue, exactly what I wanted.

Dye is not very strong
I live in E. TX where the silt is so fine, pond water never settles clear. Typically I use blue dye. The blue doesn't look natural to me and will turn into a pea soup color after awhile. I started adding black to it and it not only looks more natural but the color holds better. Black is harder to find, more expensive and not as strong of a pigment but you don't have to add much of it to blue. This looked great when I added it, the next day when it all settled in, the pigment was very weak. My pond was down 2.5 feet when I dyed. A full gal of blue would have been overkill. Typically I'll dump 1/2 - 3/4 of a gal in and safe the rest to top it off once it rains and fills up more. A full gal., no rain and a gal. didn't cover correctly. For reference, my pond is an odd shape, almost like a dog bone, when full it's roughly 70' x 40' at it's widest points. Call it an 1/8th of an acre? Deepest points might be 7', pond was down 2.5' at the time so call it 65 ft x 35' and max 4.5' deep. If you are just doing a small coy pond that has clear water, you might like this. If you are accustomed to dying ponds, you will be disappointed with this.
