This book is fantastic. It’s funny, hot, and sometimes infuriating in the best ways.Winter Sommers, the girl with two seasons for names, gets stuck finalizing some wedding plans for her best friend while the bride and groom deal with a funeral for his grandma. And it wouldn’t be that bad if it wasn’t for the fact that the best man is along for the ride.Aleck Fox. Even his name is hot. He’s a playboy who doesn’t believe in love. Their very first interaction is at midnight when he shows up in their shared suite with two random women and she has a mud mask all over her face. They hate each other instantly.I couldn’t wait for him to fall on his ass in love with her.I love that he calls her by multiple nicknames, usually based on her mood and attitude. And she doesn’t put up with his BS. I love Aleck and all his red flags (we know this about me already, don’t we?) I love Winter and the way she wears her heart on her sleeve.Their banter is fantastic. I was definitely in a book slump. Started 3 different books and DNF any of them. Saw this one and was hooked. Funny as hell, the back and forth banter is so relatable. The character growth of the MC 🙌🏽 Absolutely loved this book! This a first for this author and I will definitely check out her others as well!

I think Aleck is my new favorite billionaire book boyfriend.I grabbed this book after it was recommended by a friend. She was sure I'd like it and she wast wrong.I loved this story. I loved the way Winter and Aleck met and the tension between them and petty revenge they took on each other. It was perfect. And then they clicked. Like they were each others missing piece. The story fit together so perfectly and made me genuinely wish the best for the both of them.I really liked the other characters throughout the book as well. Hayden in particular I found myself thinking "I hope he gets his own book. I want to know his story." And lo and behold, it turns out he is getting one! I can't wait to read that one too!

The author found a way to bring you into a firestorm of a relationship. Couldn't put it down once I started chapter 1. Excellent read.

This was a well written and enjoyable read. I even had a bit of a flipout moment as my mom called me just as I got to a drop-your-jaw moment, and I'm sure others understand, you don't ignore your mom (especially since she conferenced in my grandma), but I couldn't wait to find out what happened where I had left off - I couldn't read fast enough!I really do recommend reading it, the only reason that I marked it down like I did is because I thought it was a bit longer than I thought it needed to be - but that's just my opinion, of course. I rather think of it being a 4.5, but it won't let me mark it that way. I'm looking forward to reading Hayden and Pippa's story!

Winter and Aleck have been asked to finish wedding plans for their best friends. Which means forced proximity in a hotel for a week.I didn’t like Aleck for most of this book. He was an obnoxious a$$ but he had his demons which made him that way. He was unapologetic and rude in his behavior in the beginning. His inner dialogue of women was sometimes crass. His disregard of Winter after that week really soured me against him no matter his excuse. Even believing he didn’t deserve or was worthy to be loved he acted like a coward.Winters behavior was no better with her lies to just keep Aleck at arms length once he got his head out of his butt. She’d been hurt in a past relationship and used that as a basis to not let her heart get broken. Too late for that at that point.These two were fun to read about though, their banter and chemistry were off the charts. There is a ton of angst which showed that this couple really needed to learn a better way of communication. They hurt each other and I think they both needed to grovel a little more at the end. Aleck showed the most character development and he grew on me at the end.It will be interesting to read Hayden’s story next. He has his own demons and I want to see if he is even redeemable.There are some events that could be triggering. Mentions history of child abuse, not in depth, but still could make you uncomfortable. Death of a parent.

LOVED this story so much! Sweet, heartfelt, decent amount of spice, funny. I need more! I need an epilogue a few years later or something! Can't wait for Haydens story, almost cried when i saw it wasnt out yet!

This book was amazing! Lots of ups and downs to get to the HEA, but so worth the read. Alexk and Winter were just perfect, the alpha male, that doesn't believe in love and the FMC who wants it all. 🔸Enemies to lovers 🔸 built up tension 🔸billionaire 🔸dirty talk 🔸spice 🔸HEA

So I've been in the biggest book funk, even having to take a month off..... this pulled me right back in and I found myself trying to read it whenever I could.Loved this book!

I was lucky enough to receive an ARC copy for this book. From the first few chapters i fell i love with the story of this book and the way it was written. Once i had started i couldn’t stop, i was hooked on the love story between Aleck and Winter and my oh my was it a good one. The ups and downs throughout this book kept you hooked and on an emotional rollercoaster. I think this is one of my favourite books i have read this year, i loved it so much i feel i will have a book hangover and it will take a special book to knock it off the top spot. I cant wait to share it with my friends when it gets released.Thank you JL Kenna for writing such a beautiful story and I am so grateful i come across your book on bookstagram.If you are thinking of reading this book i highly recommend it! I just finished reading this , came highly recommended , and just wow 🤩 fantastic read best book I’ve read so far! (I’ve only recently took up reading in the last year)It didn’t disappoint was so funny to start, the chemistry between characters was perfect and the ending didn’t feel rushed , it was the perfect amount of maddening anticipation that makes you not stay up till 3am reading to finish it
