Fun and Interesting
The rules are fairly easy to understand. Fun to play with friends and family.Teaches you a thing or two about investment. The money is easier to handle.Just get a few ziploc bags so you can separate most of the items in it once you have opened it.

Good game
The description sounded good so we bought it. Read the directions and it sounded like no fun and not what I thought it was. Then we played it & it was quite an enjoyable game.

Good game needs a bigger box
A decent variation of 1960s Acquire bookshelf game. The only thing I didn't like was overly small box. You have to play tetris to get all the pieces back in.

Tons of fun
We love this game! It took us a while to get used to the rules and played the simple version first. However, it is even better when you start using the level cards! The more people playing the better it is.

Fun simple strategy
Was a little unsure when I purchased the game as there where no reviews or videos. It is apparently a revision of an older version with improved rules and presentation. It was only available in German. You build companies, you expand them, you buy stock and perform mergers all in an attempt to have the most money at the end of the game. 72 cards represent the 72 building spaces on the board. You start with a hand of 10 cards and you can basically play a card onto the board to build a company or add to an existing one. You can also draw an additional up card or one from the deck as part of your future strategy. Some degree of luck as cards are exposed but a fair amount of strategy of when and were to build to maximize your return.Played twice with 2 people. Probably better either 3 or more people because as game winds down it becomes obvious what cards both you and your opponent have. It doesn't really matter though as this is part of strategy to hold these cards till end and maximize payout. It's just too bad for your opponent because they know you are gonnahave a big payday on your last few turns and theirs nothing they can do !Rules are fairly simple although rulebook could use a little more depth.I usually like more in depth strategy games, but this has enough to make it fun and interesting without being overwhelming for those who want to have fun.I'm kind of a game junkie and bought on a whim and I'm very happy I did.

Too Easy to Break this Game
We are board game players, and had high expectations for this game, especially since it was a Syd Sackson game and a sequel to our long time favorite Acquire. The board, pieces, and cards all look nice. We like the money chips and bank trays much more than paper money. Unfortunately, we all quickly concluded that there is only one simple viable strategy to win the game, and it's a boring strategy. It quickly devolved into luck of the draw to win. We all quickly became bored with this game... even the 2 players who don't like strategic thinking. The rules are simple; we definitely did not play the game wrong. We played 5 times and have now put the game away. If we ever play again, we will increase the cost of the level up cards and that might help. However, we still much prefer the 2D grid layout of Acquire, and multiple possible merger chips compared to the Big Boss alternative... a 1D long snake with only 1 possible merger chip between chains. Our last game didn't even have 1 merger. We are sticking with Acquire; it's much more fun.

Big Boss: A Hidden Gem of Strategy!
Big Boss is an outstanding game that’s quick to learn but rich in strategy. Each move requires careful thought, and it’s incredibly easy to bring to the table, making it perfect for game night. One of its best features is that it accommodates up to six players, which is a pleasant surprise. The value for the money is top notch, I love the money tokens. If I had to mention a downside, the box could be a bit larger to fit all the components comfortably, though the components themselves are beautifully crafted and look fantastic on the table. Highly recommended!
