I couldn't get not one of the pens to work.They wouldn't write, or click shut.

I was a little unsure about a retractable fountain pen set. I expected that the ink would likely dry up quickly and it would end up being a waste of money. I can report that I'm pleasently surprised!Now, first off, this isn't a super great quality pen. It's well priced and it's comfortable to write with. It's also convient. For the price point and consistently decent performance, I rate this a five star. But just be aware that this isn't the top of the line. It's a budget friendly set.After using this pretty much daily and then leaving it for several weeks (with the cap on) in my pen bag, it still started writing almost immediatly once I picked it back up. It did not dry up like I expected! The plastic cap does really help keep the ink damp enough that it doesn't dry up the whole pen. So this IS a retractable fountain pen, but you'll still need to use that cap after you're done using the pen for the day. I notice that if I don't use the cap, the pen ink gets finiky after a few hours (even when retracted).The grip is comfortable and is a nice break on my fingers from most of my other pens. Yeah, it looks a little kid-ish... but it's also a little fun!Each pen comes in it's own plastic sleeve with two refills. Since the nib is pretty fine, you'll be able to write for a long while without having to worry about aquiring more catridges.Overall, a great price for what you're getting. At this price point, I can bring this everywhere with me and I won't throw a fit if someone walks off with it or I mistakenly drop it!

Not only were they difficult to load with thr ink cartridge, but once loaded they all leaked everywhere!I started a return but once they leaked all over the shipping envelope, I trashed them and took the loss of the purchase price. DO NOT RECOMMEND

I would not purchase again.

It is a retractable fountain pen, put it still requires a cap or it will dry out. That defeats the purpose of being retractable. The nib was extremely fine so it wrote more like a fine gel pen then a fountain pen. Disappointing. I immediately gave them away.

The installation of the ink cartridge was easy. The pen does not work. I have tried several times to get into flowers & write. Very disappointed.

The ink is splotchy on paper but it covers your hand pretty good

These Mesen retractable fountain pens are cute however they don't work very well. I put in the ink refills yesterday and when I tried to write, no ink. Opened the pen and squeezed the refills and got three of the four pens to work. Not smooth writing and the ink barely comes out. I realize a very fine pen will not be super smooth. Today I tried to write with all four and the ink barely feeds out even after squeezing the refill. I do love the looks and comfort of writing with a pen that is cushioned where you hold it. However these pens are not working for me.

being a lover of fountain pens i was very excited to see a retractable version. having the added cap for the pen is wonderful for when i have it in my work bag.

Bit difficult to insert ink cartridges, but only slightly. Writes fair, doesn’t flow as required. Hard to continue writing when pen down even for a few moments. However, that saidYou can’t expect a high class writing instrument for just $10 for four pens. When in hand the curious want one and down to one pen , just after receiving them.Best for me to stick with regular fountain pen in future, however, it is what it is, no more no less…… Don s
