It's great when you could just take item out of the box and it slices and chops and does exactly what the advertisement described.

This works great, but optimism of my skills resulted in the loss of my finger tip. When I cut myself, my husband told me to, 'tape down the flap'. What flap? It was somewhere in the salad. Use the dang guard, and order a pair of cut-proof kitchen gloves. I used to read about criminals altering their fingerprints, but after my experience, I can't recommend this approach.

The item works fine, but it was shipped in the original box without any packing. The bottom clear container arrived with a crack in it.
