This has a dense foam later similar to the original that came w/ the dryer. The replacement from Miele did not have this. If it matters the product is made in China.

These seem to work well, and definitely helped with the F066 error, but don't look like the same materials. The lower/thicker foam portion has more open cells, and the upper/thinner foam is denser, but again, not quite as dense, and clearly different material from the OEM plinth filter. The holes are in the correct places, but the two larger holes are slightly larger, and the smaller hole is much smaller. Everything fits and works though, so I mention these things only to set expectations, and to realize that the differences aren't consequential.
