BoschS4027 - Car Battery - 70A/H - 630A - Lead-Acid Technology - for Vehicles without Start/Stop System

I had the same type of battery on my Rolls Royce Siver Spur, so bought the same type. I had noticed the starter was getting a bit slow, so I thought it best to get a new battery. Much cheaper on Amazon than I could find in local car shops, and delivered too. I put it on charge overnight, fitted next day, and the difference was very noticable - starter runs a lot faster, and lights are very bright now. The one I bought works fine. Lots of power for such a small batttery, and is maintenance free, needs no attention once fitted. Any moisture is condensed and goes back into the cells, so never needs topping up. Great battery.

Battery arrived in perfect condition. Took a bit longer than expected but was due to bank holiday and was a 2 day business day delivery so ended up 6 days from order. Worth the wait though, good price.

I believe that I have been sold a faulty battery but without a guarantee and no one to message I'm left here writing a review. When I first opened the battery about a month ago i noticed the sides was slightly bowed outwards but I thought nothing of it and hooked it up to my car. Used my car as normal for a week (without checking the battery). The car then failed to start after being stood for 3 days. i check the battery and it looked more swelled more than before and wasn't holding charge. So I put it on charge for an hour to which it was hissing at me and looked even more swelled!! so i currently have battery I daren't go anywhere near (had to put outside this evening) as after researching the battery had swelled on its arrival and progressively has got worse.

This battery is good quality and holds its charge better than the OEM version. One thing to look out for is the aside from the size is whether the battery terminals are the right way around for your vehicle in order that the positive and negative leads will have sufficient play in order to teach. For this battery I had to turn the battery around but fortunately the leads still just managed to stretch to the terminals.

No contest. Replaced like with like, no reason not to. Last battery lasted about 7 years so I’m hoping the same for this one.

Delivered early and fitted straight away. Wasn’t fully charged but took only one hour and it was good to go. Nice to now have a reliable battery.
