I used a handheld tensioner to pull tight and I found that the metallic catch inside the head has a few millimetres of play before it locks and grips the strap. If you are tensioning against unyielding surfaces (hard wood or metal) you will end up getting frustrated because you can never pull the strap tight enough lock and hold firmly. What I found I needed to do was to pull the strap as tight as I can and bend the metal end 180 degs over the locking head before cutting the excess off.

These cable ties are so strong, you struggle to cut them with pliers, love them! Would definitely purchase again

Really great stainless cable ties for jobs when maybe you can't use plastic because it's to near a heat source, I used them to secure heat wrap on an exhaust system and they worked perfect, you do need to pull them with grips if you want them fairly tight.

Not as strong as I was expecting when used to temporarily hold a car exhaust pipe in place. Generous amount for the money. Easy to use. Extremely versatile multi-purpose ties.
